Advocacy

This section of AppleVis is intended to provide the community with information and resources that can be used to raise awareness of the issues that we face and to encourage companies to consider these when developing apps for iOS devices.

We plan to grow this area of the site over the coming months. If you have any suggestions for what should be included, please share them in the forum or via the contact page.

Here are our current tools and resources:

• Campaign of the Month - each month we select an app with poor accessibility, and provide a quick and easy way for people to contact the developers and ask for better VoiceOver support.
• Developer Reports - a list of apps that have been reported to their developers by AppleVis users as having accessibility problems
• iOS Accessibility Advocacy - a dedicated area in our forum for discussing accessibility advocacy
• A template for use when contacting an app developer
