#1 Will it Kill the Jailbreak?
Interesting, anyone know if it is safe to install this update on jailbroken phones? I have an iPhone 4S and I haven't noticed any issues with connectivity whatsoever, then again, I live in Mexico, maybe this only affects US carriers?
Regards!
#2 Safe to jailbreak.
Hello,
For those that participate in the evilness that is jailbreaking, they released a new version of Evasi0n to jailbreak 6.1.1.

#4 Restore and Jailbreak Again
Hi!
OK, I've researched what needs to be done to update a jailbroken iPhone 4S to iOS 6.1.1:
1. Connect your device to iTunes and create a backup.
2. Click "Check for Update" but do not click "Update" when iTunes finds the new software, click "Cancel" instead.
3. Click on "Restore", this will restore the device to factory settings and install the updated iOS version.
4. Restore your device from the backup you recently created.
5. If your backup is password protected, deselect the password protecting option and wait for iTunes to create a new backup.
6. Use the Evasi0n tool to jailbreak your device again.
7. Return to iTunes and create a new password protected backup if you wish.
The passcode lock should be disabled on your device when performing the jailbreak. I recommend using an app such as OpenBackup or APT Backup to backup your Cydia packages and sources before restoring the device.
Cheers and regards!
