Hello to all,
I've recently purchased a new Series 1 42mm Apple Watch and am loving it more and more. Although I have noticed an odd glitch and am wondering if anyone else has encountered this.
Like most, my default watch face is Minnie Mouse and I have set it up that the watch does not wake up when raising my wrist and does not auto speak. I prefer raising my wrist and pressing on the crown to wake up the watch and have Minni or Mickey read the time. This way, if I only want the taptic time, instead of pressing the crown when I raise my wrist, I simply double tap with one finger.
Now the glitch I am encountering is this, after not using my watch for a while, I sometimes raise my wrist and when either pressing the crown or double tapping it, I get no response from the watch. Sometimes triple clicking the crown to toggle VoiceOver on and off will do the trick and make my watch wake up again, sometimes it takes longer.
Now I am not certain if this is normal behavior or not, I am hoping that I don't have to bring the watch back to the Apple Store as the nearest one is rather far away, although I do have the two year AppleCare, I am hoping that this is just normal behavior and that it is just something I will have to get used to. I am running the latest Watch OS 3.1 as well.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I do try and be cautious not to accidentally bang my wrist on walls or objects, and at times notice when I am either getting up from brushing my dog or when I unknowingly bend my wrist upwards and accidentally press and hold the crown as I do get Siri kicking in. I do hope that this action does not damage the crown? You would think that for the price, Apple would build these things to be able to take a little punishment. I do though try to be cautious as this toy is a rather expensive one too.
Anyways, would appreciate any help or guidance.
