Question about IntelliScreenX for JB iPhone

Hi, I have downloaded and installed the IntelliScreenX 6 tweak on my iPhone 4S running iOS6.1 jailbroken with Evasion. Videos etc. that I watched about this tweak say that it gives you access to quick settings such as Bluetooth and wi-fi in the notification centre. However I don't seem to have them and can't see an option in the settings. Can anyone advise?
Thanks.

#1 A lot of settings

Are on Settings on oyour home screen. You should check there first; that is where you can configure most of your tweaks.

#2 Hi, just to clarify, I can

Hi, just to clarify, I can find the settings for the tweak no problem. Within that though, i can't find how to enable the particular element of the tweak that allows you to toggle bluetooth etc. from the notification centre. Thanks.

#3 Got it!

Submitted by Dave82 on 8 February, 2013 - 13:08.

Ok after some more googling and playing around with the phone I figured it out. Rather than being in the IntelliScreenX settings, "iOS Quick Settings" goes into the normal Notifications section of Settings, and was sitting by default under the "Not In Notification Centre" section.
If anyone happens to know if it's possible to get a Do Not Disturb toggle, that'd be great.

#4 Hi, I haven't used this tweak

Submitted by alex wallis on 8 February, 2013 - 19:02.

Hi, I haven't used this tweak in ages, though I did buy it.
From what I remember you have to select to add the toggles either in the tweak settings, or you might have to enable them in the notification center I can't remember.
But what I do remember is I didn't find the tweak particularly accessible, I have been looking for a good option to show toggles in notification center for ages, I did try sbsettings but again not very friendly with VoiceOver, at least the toggles weren't, the text for the toggle labels was shown totally separately from the enable or disable options for the toggles.
So what you had was a long list of enable or disable buttons then the text for options like 3g, bluetooth wifi etc showing no relation to the toggle buttons.
Unfortunately the author of sbsettings isn't two keen to make the toggles more VoiceOver accessible.

If you want to access toggles quickly, a good option I found the other day is the task switcher called auxo, the toggles are VoiceOver accessible, though I did find the toggle text for each one a little confusing at first, I still haven't worked out if the toggle text shows you what state the toggle is in now, or what it will be toggled to when you activate the toggle, I think it might be different for different toggles, but the text is shown as you go over each toggle rather than by the side.
the nice thing Is you can set up an activator action to show you the toggles page so you don't have to swipe to it from the auxo task switcher.
You can also access the settings panel for toggles from the toggles page as well as just enable or disable them, and if you tap and hold on any icon in the switcher you can clear all icons at once, and it can either prompt you about this or not depending on what the setting you set for this is.
You also don't need to set up any activator action to start using auxo just as an ordinary task switcher as it seems to integrate into the existing app switcher.

#5 Hi Alex. Yep, I eventually

Submitted by Dave82 on 8 February, 2013 - 19:26.

Hi Alex. Yep, I eventually found it under Notifications settings. It is actually accessible with VoiceOver, though the VO labelling is a bit strange. For example it'll say, "Wi-Fi off @2x", when wi-fi is off, and "Selected, Wi-Fi off @2x", when wi-fi is on. But they're certainly useable so happy enough. I'd say the same generally about IntelliScreenX overall, it's useable, if not elegant with VoiceOver.
Funny you should mention Auxo, because I find that the toggles section is not accessible. All of the buttons just say "Button". I even tried labelling them myself, but weirdly, when I labelled one button, it gave that label to all of the toggle buttons!
I don't have Activator, or know what it is really. Should I?

#6 Hi, your auxo issue is weird

Submitted by alex wallis on 8 February, 2013 - 19:45.

Hi, your auxo issue is weird I don't have that at all, for me the toggles are fully accessible.
Are you sure your on the toggles page? You have to swipe to it from the right when the switcher opens.
Maybe take a look at auxos settings and just see if the toggles are enabled.
As for activator its very useful, it lets you set up custom actions for your phone, for example long or short holding on the home button can be made to do things like launch apps or other things.
A lot of apps can make use of activater actions, its definitely worth having.
Under IOS5 for example I had a tweak that would return me to the last app I was in, so it was a bit like the alt tab function on the computer, I had an activator action of long home set to do that.
Unfortunately that particular tweak isn't available for ios6.1 yet.
activator also provides other actions like being able to swipe on parts of the status bar, or double pressing of the sleep button can be made to do things its very flexible.
Another tweak I had set up with an activator gesture was one where I double pressed the sleep button and I had a dialogue open where I could type a web address anywhere in ios, much easier than opening safari.

#7 Ah, interesting

Submitted by Dave82 on 8 February, 2013 - 20:23.

OK I've got to the bottom of the Auxo mystery. I did have toggles turned on and was on the right page etc. However, I had the "5 toggles per row" option switched on. When I switch this off and go to the default 4 per row, VoiceOver works. From what i can tell, VO is telling you the current state of the setting, not what you would be switching it to. Pleased to figure this issue out anyway.
Thanks I'll try out Activator. FYI, another user earlier today recommended something called ActivAccess for Activator.
Out of interest, what do you use, if anything, for extending folders?

#8 Hi, yes I think after having

Submitted by alex wallis on 8 February, 2013 - 20:49.

Hi, yes I think after having looked at the toggles more that you are right that they tell you the current state of the toggle.
As for activater, I would seriously avoid active access for activator, it breaks the voiceOver screen curtain setting so that it isn't saved, only way to fix it is to reset your settings.
The setting breaks as soon as you set up a custom activator gesture for VoiceOver, so I would avoid it unless you want to toggle screen curtain on manually every time you reboot your phone.
Another tweak I would recommend is called Beekeyboard, it lets you set up keyboard shortcuts for a bluetooth keyboard, you can use it to toggle various settings and also do things in safari.
The nice thing is I contacted the author and he added in a feature so that when you change a toggle using a keyboard shortcut this fact is announced by VoiceOver.
There used to be a bug with it that affected VoiceOver, but at least for me it seems to be gone on the iPhone5 using IOS6.1.
For folders I use an app called folder enhancer which lets me have as many icons as I want in folders and also folders inside other folders.
I don't use tweaks like infinifolders and infinidock as this sort of functionality is handled by something else called springtomize2, which is a great tweak that is really worth the money and saves you using lots of other smaller tweaks as it has a lot of customisation options for your phone.
It was the first thing that went back on my phone after jailbreaking.

#9 Cool thanks. I have some

Submitted by Dave82 on 8 February, 2013 - 21:10.

Cool thanks. I have some vision so never actually use the screen curtain, so that's not an issue for me. Yeah I have Folder Enhancer. The only problem I have with it is that when I have more than one page of apps inside a folder, I can't seem to move between pages. The three-finger swipe that you use on the springboard doesn't seem to work inside folders. Am I missing a trick?
It's still good of course as it gives me 16 spaces in a folder as opposed to 12 on my 4S, and allows folders within folders. But the multiple pages would be nice.

#10 Hi, If you double tap the bit

Submitted by alex wallis on 8 February, 2013 - 21:40.

Hi,
If you double tap the bit of the screen where VoiceOver tells you the page number it should move you to the next page.
If you want to cram more icons on to one page you could try installing iconoclasm and try some of the options it offers for resizing icons and also the options it gives you to change how they are arranged on the screen.

Great thanks. That works, to get me to the next page anyway, though not back again. It'll do fine, don't want anything complicated.

#12 Winterboard accessibility with VO?

Submitted by Andrew on 9 February, 2013 - 17:10.

Hello Dave and others, can anyone tell me about the accessibility of VO with the JB app Winteroard? I am particularly interested in the sounds portion of the app, it stated that you could customize various sound settings? Can anyone comment on this?

#14 Hands-free control?

Submitted by Andrew on 9 February, 2013 - 18:36.

Did anyone use the "hands-free control" tweek to SIRI, which allows you to envoke SIRI without use of the home button, on a previous JB? I know that it has not been updated as of yet to IOS 6.1, but just wondering if it is really everything they say it is? Any comment would be helpful. Thanks. -Andrew-

#15 Download SBSettings Instead

Submitted by Robert A.M. on 10 February, 2013 - 15:02.

Hi Dave,

I haven't installed this tweak myself, but if you want quick access to these things I recommend that you install SBSettings. This tweak is running very nicely in my iPhone 4S; I currently have quick toggles enabled for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Personal Hotspot and 3G, but you can choose from a large list of toggles and download many more from Cydia.

Regards!
