Accessibility Comments

For the most part, this is very accessible with VoiceOver. It's fairly straightforward to navigate and use, and the only problem that I've found so far is that VoiceOver doesn't read your list of contacts. Instead, you simply get the VoiceOver 'clunk' as you swipe through each contact in the list. If you only have a few contacts, this might not be a major problem. You can use the search box at the top of the list to minimize the effect. Contact names still won't be read, but it will at least improve the likelihood of double-tapping on the one that you want. The dial-pad is fully accessible, as is the list of recent calls. All the other areas of the app that I've explored so far are also accessible.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.

I had this ap for some time on my phone and finally decided to explore it. Unlike the original post from unregistered, the address book is totally accessible and though I haven't made any calls yet, that will happen today. According to Vonage web site information, Canada to US and US to Canada calls are free. The ap works both over Wi-FI and 3G and up. What I can't find out is how much additional charge does one incur if using a cellular network if wi-fi is not available. Obviously, I'm missing something here, or not understanding clearly. Maybe someone can help? I do in fact have wi-fi in my home.

Actually I had to reinstall vonage and I have to sign in. the problem is there's no sign in screen. I hear close, sign in which when tapped does nothing and forgot password which is dimmed. I tried to create an account but that is even a no go. I don't want to be a paid subscriber. What should I do here? I'm set to leave in 3 weeks to go out of the country and I want to stay in contact with family and friends.

I should add, I had to reeinstall it on my phone which no longer has my vonage info on it.
