Yes, I have sometimes experienced this behavior for the past few versions. Sometimes when this happens, my playback position will also reset to the beginning of the file. This happens most often in audio files. Sometimes moving the position slider control snaps it out of it, otherwise I also just close and restart the app.

I've been intermittently seeing this behavior for a least a couple of years with Voice Dream Reader and a handful of other audio apps.
Typically, closing the app via the App Switcher and reopening it will get things back to working as they should be.
