Looking for Accessible To-do list or Calendar / Event with reminders list

I am looking for an iPhone App for to-do list or event calendar with reminders that is accessible. Does anyone know of one that is either free, or not very expensive? Thanks in advance.

#1 The Default?

Have you tried the default Calendar and Reminders apps? They are both fully accessible, and are already installed on your device. If these apps will not work, please explain why so we can get a better sense of your situation and what sort of app(s) you are looking for.

#2 No optional time for reminders in Calendar

I have tried both, and I do use the reminder app. but the Calendar app wont' let you set your own time for reminders of events. Or if it does, I can not find how to do it. I am mostly wanting a to-do list app for things I need to do like while I am running errands.

Yes, Calendar lets you set an alert time. You can't specify an exact time, but it offers things like five, ten, thirty, or sixty minutes, then longer intervals. When you are adding an event, that is right near the bottom. For reminders, Siri and the iOS Reminders app are great together. You can just tell Siri "remind me to do whatever at some time" (or at some location, or in a certain amount of time) and it will do it. If you don't have Siri, the app is still good - add your reminder, configure the time, and there you go. You don't *need* a time or location for reminders if you don't want one; you can just add an item, then check the list later. Speaking of lists, if you have multiple lists in Reminders, Siri can handle that. Say something like "add milk to my shopping list" or "add check on the plants to my home list" and, assuming the list you specified exists in Reminders, the item is added to it.

#5 Time only abel to be set for 9:00 AM

When I go to create an event, and then want to be reminded of it, it gives me the option to remind me None, the day before, two days before, etc, but everything says, "9:00 AM>" you evidently cannot switch this 9:00 AM reminder time. this is why I was looking for a 3rd party App. thanks for the suggestion. will check it out.

#6 Double Tap to Change That

In the event, there is a place where it says what time the event is (such as 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM). Double tap that, and you can change the start and end times with the pickers that will appear. Again, with Siri, creating reminders and calendar events is a much faster and easier process.

#7 not the problem

I know how to change the event times themselves. I am sorry if I am not explaining myself correctly. When you set the app to remind you about the event for example on the day of. the only option you get is 9:00 AM that morning. Sometimes I might not want to be reminded until a couple hours or an hour before an event because it is something that I do from home. I hope this makes more sense. and I am still looking for a 3rd party app which will allow me to write down things I need to do and let me check them off as I do them.

So, when you make a reminder, the time defaults to 9:00. I'm still not sure if you are using Siri, but if you are, why not just say "remind me to do something at 7:00 AM", to change the time? Or, when you create a new reminder, type it in, hit enter, double tap the newly made reminder, and change the time from the resulting details screen. As to checking things off, each reminder is automatically a checkbox; when you complete one, double tap to check that reminder's box. It will stay on the screen, but the next time you go to the list of reminders lists and then back into the list you were using, or close and open the app, that completed item will be gone. That is why each list includes a "completed items" button; that shows you all the reminders you have checked off in the past. Or, to erase a reminder completely, just find it, flick up with one finger, and double tap when VO says "delete".

#9 Not reminders, Events in the calendar

I am meanning the events in the calendar. When I set the event in the calendar and set the option to be reminded / alerted of the event, it only gives me the option of 9:00 AM on whatever time / day I want to be reminded of the event. for example, let's say I set an event in the calendar app for July 25th, and I need to go to an appointment at 2:00 PM, and I want to be reminded of the appointment through the calendar app the morning of the appointment, I can not have the calendar app remind me at say 12:00 PM, it only let's me set it for 9:00 AM. The same if I want to be reminded / alerted the day before, I only have an option of being alerted at 9:00 AM the day before.

Alright, I think I see where you're coming from. I have my iPhone in front of me, and I'm making an appointment for four days from now, at 2:00 PM, with a reminder at 12:00 AM.

  1. Open Calendar, and hit the "add" button in the top right.
  2. Fill out the title and other text you want, then set the start and end times.
  3. Flick down past the repeat and invitees buttons, to the alert button (which defaults to "none"). Double tap.
  4. A screen will open, with a bunch of different alert time options. Pick one (I chose two hours before, to get my noon alert). This screen is rather limited, but does offer a range of options. If this is the part where you want a more exact time, then that is not possible with this app, and a third-party solution is indeed the best choice.
  5. Now that you set one alert, a "second alert" button will appear below the first, offering similar options for alert times.
  6. Once done, hit the "done" button in the top right of the screen to save the appointment.

Thank you, I will try this.
