Hi,
Using Dolphin Easy Reader which, for the most part, seems to work much better than Apple Books, kindle etc. The big frustration I'm having however, is returning to the app and being back at the start of a section, IE, it has not save my position in that particular chapter.
I'm using brail, but even if I'm not doing it on my brail display, when I touch the centre of the screen, I am again back at the start of the chapter.
It seems that all reading apps are flawed. I can use easy reader but it doesn't save my place. I can use books but it bounces the focus about. I can use kindle but that has its own issues. I can use voice dream reader but I have to pay for it. All just seems a bit bonkers.
I'm hoping I'm missing something here, got a wrong setting etc.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Questions and tips.
If I leave the app for too long, either it will put me back in the mainscreen, and my positions are saved, or not, or it will be back at my book but there is absolutely no way to get the text in the book back (it won't show at all, using Braille, VO, Play button, anything) except to close and reopen the app. There are also alot of braille display bugs using easyReader that I have listed in the App Directory. how long, have you been out of the app? Is it closed from the appswitcher? Did you close the book before you closed the app? That usually works for me, close the book before you close the app, then go back in later, press the side menu button and your book should be at the top of the side menu bar with VO when you go to the top of the screen it should say the title of your book. Double-click that, and your positions should be just as you left them.

This is a simple tip I have used all through the years. I admit that my favorite reading apps are EasyReader and Speech Central. Now for the EasyReader and returning to last read position, when you want to leave the app or close it, just double tab where you're located, also you can use your braille cursor buttons. So double tab or one click with the braille cursor, then leave the app and reopen it again, open your book and you will be placed automatically to the last read position.

Ah, makes sense. Does seem there isn't anything angering it to a specific part of the text so selecting it sounds like the key. Thank you. Will give it a go later.
Yes.
I might've misunderstood thinking you already did that, and it was throwing you back to the beginning of the book, and that happens to me. It also took me some time to figure that out, because after the disaster that was Read2Go, where selecting something (along with pretty much everything else) would crash the book. Ugh. Yes, just do the selector thing, and, close the book before closing the app otherwise if you leave it too long you might just lose your place again.
