NYtimes app and VoiceOver talking unexpectedly... Anyone else?

By The Oliver Kennett, 4 December, 2022

iOS and iPadOS

Just a quick one, is anyone else having VoiceOver continue to read items from the NYTimes app even when you're not on it and the phone is locked? It seems to be a variation between the time of last stories and, if one has ben playing Wordle, it reads out spaces. It's a really annoying bug, tends to go off when I least want it, when I'm asleep, terrifying me at 3 AM. The current fix seems to be using app manager and shutting it down, but wondered if anyone else was having this?

The New York Times app is basically always running in the background on my phone and I usually read it each day. Never had anything like what you described. I am on iOS 15

Maybe iOS 16 is to blame…

Maybe iOS 16 is to blame then.
