Have one of you clever lot got a way to get VoiceOver to automatically read messages from others in a chat window in discord?

Hey,

I'm on Mac and using discord for my weekly D&D game. There is an ability for messages to be read out using TTS in discord but it's really flaky. I was hoping there was a way of getting dear sweet VoiceOver to read out the messages instead faster and more consistently.

I'd assume there is a means to do this, there are so many chat things about it seems odd that you can't set VoiceOver to monitor a window and read out any additions to that window.

Any ideas I could try?
