unwanted lines at top of email

By JimInTexas, 14 January, 2014

Hi all! When I get emails from Applevis I always have the following info at the top of each email Greetings JimInTexas, Your subscription on AppleVis notifies you of new comments: On my mac and iDevice as well, that seems to take up unnecessary lines of which I could display the actual email. Is there any way to turn this off? I have my preview set to 4 lines on my mac and two of the lines are filled up with this info. If it changed it would be different but it is always the same and I see no need for it to be there. ? Thanks, Jim

Did you try going to the applevis website and unchecking the box that says subscribe to this page check box to stop the alerts.

Salutations

Jim, I know the lines that you mean, but it would be rather unusual to not have some form of salutation at the beginning of an email. Some might say that it would actually be bad manners not to do this (smile)

I find the repetative

I find the repetative verbiage time consuming. I have always disliked the salutation "greetings". I don't have much spare time in my day and the extra lines cause the important part of the post to be scrolled off the page, so I can't read these posts efficiently with just one hand while traveling to and from work. I would like to see less repetative verbiage. I would also like to be able to subscribe to specific forums.
