Description of App
The CViConnect Professional Edition provides a secure platform for educators to complete the instructional cycle; collect data, analyze data, make instructional decisions, plan, and reflect. Baseline data within CViConnect includes but is not limited to; Functional vision evaluation summary, Orientation and Mobility summary, and Learning Media Assessment summary. Additionally, by working along with Dr Christine Roman Lanzy, CViConnect Professional edition offers educators the ability to score and monitor growth over time using The CVI Range (with scoring criteria provided).
CViConnect allows a teacher to formally plan activities for the student and deliver those activities for use in the classroom or while the student is at home. The system offers a full library of activities created for CVI Phases I, II, and III. These can be individually assigned to a student as is, edited to meet the student’s needs, or team members can create their own activity. Additionally, the system captures statistical data about the interactions of the student during a session, which can then be used by the teacher to make data-based decisions when modifying instruction for the specific student.
CViConnect provides tools for charting the progress of the student as they work towards their goals. CViConnect uses the camera inside of the iPad to detect whether the child is looking at or away from the activity. This information is correlated with what is being displayed on the screen to help the family or teacher understand what target provides the best visual attention for the student.
The CViConnect community includes CVI professionals, utilizing cutting-edge technology, that offer hope and confidence in the form of personalized education, training and support for children with Cortical Visual Impairment.
