BLOWING POWER
For maximum blowing power, remove protective covers/casings that could block the air flow, and ensure no dust has accumulated in your speaker opening. You can verify the cool air flow by holding the speaker opening close to your mouth. When blowing out candles, don't burn your device!

This app really does work, it makes your phone speaker blow air. I found it and I believe it to be a great addition to this website.

#1 I think it's a joke
Submitted by Jessica Brown on
Hi. I think this app just makes a blowing sound and does not actually make your iOS device blow air. The iOS devices have no air pump and the speakers are not loud enough to make a big enough sound to move air. I don't have this app, but am just guessing. What do people who have the app think?
#2 I use that app

It is not a substantial amount of air, but it is more than what you would think. You can blow out a candle with it. So yes it does work.
#3 It does not work
Submitted by Jessica Brown on
Hi. So, I bought this app, removed my iPhone from its case and turned this app on. I got 100 percent noise and 0 percent blowing or moving air. I was correct. It's just a noise maker, not an air blower. I even held the phone up to my face and in my mouth like the instructions said and felt no moving air.

Don't buy this, for a purchased app it has virtually no usability. The same effect could be achieved by playing a track with a lot of bass and mid. Save your money. And just for reference, you use the volume control to turn on the virtual fan, took me a while to work this out.
#5 Might try this app if it was free

yeah, so, joke or not, I'm not paying for an app that 1, makes noise like blowing air. 2, actually pumps the speaker in such a way that a little bit of air comes out of your speaker openning. What would I do with it?
Thanks for the review though. :)
#6 regarding app¬

I don't see why such an app could be invented. Is there a way to ask apple to remove a useless app such as this one? This I believe is probably in violation of apple's dos and don'ts in regard to what you can and cannot do when programing an app.
#7 Gag Gift?
Submitted by Ekaj on
Perhaps this app could be given to someone as a gag gift. After all Christmas is almost upon us, for those of us who celebrate it. I'm curious whether this app will ever be available on the Mac. I have not yet visited the website or their YouTube channel, but I suppose it would be rather interesting to use the app as one of those hand dryers like they have in a lot of public bathrooms. I suppose the air would come out where it does for the fan on a Mac.
#8 Hmm. I don't really see that
Submitted by KE7ZUM on
Hmm. I don't really see that happening as it woudl take a lot of processing power. Interesting idea though. Raise the clock speed so the processer makes the fan run, but it might ruin the mac.

Well, if you'll pardon the humor, I think if I were the developer, and mind you, I haven't used this app yet, but I think it would be a funn idea to have a picture of someone's backside on the screen when the blower was turned on.
#10 this app should be free
Submitted by Troy on
This app should be free, I'm glad it was only $.99 because I deleted it. This app acts as more as an air rade siren, I'd think with accessive use this app would eventually blow your speaker.
#11 saving my money

I thought about buying this app, but after reading what others have said about it, I will save my 99 cents, and spend it on something else that is really worth the money.
#12 It's a dud.
