I've wanted a better version of World War, and it seems to be that from th description. What improvement need to be made?

Submitted by Ken Downey on Saturday, August 13, 2016

Please recruit KenWDowney. By the way, I don't really get this kind of game, but I'm going to give it another try. I'd up the accessibility rating slightly. V

I really don't get the point of this type of game. It's not that I don't understand the idea of war games… I just don't get these versions, where you push buttons over and over and over… Attack… In gauge… Attack… Attack again… I don't see any strategy Yyet…

Ken, you are being fooled. LOL
Strategy will come unexpectedly.
Remember Solara? At first, we were all like, look, this is so easy, then when people got past level 13, there were a bunch of forum topics posted on AppleVis asking for help.

I liked these kinds of games when I used to play World War.
Al can you change your command code from being long string of numbers?

Submitted by Mitchell on Sunday, August 14, 2016

How do you change the maxximum of units per class you can take into battle? I have 5 commanders, but I can only deploy 10 air force units but 160 army units.

Submitted by Ken Downey on Sunday, August 14, 2016

Make sure to take advantage of the gold bars offered. Looking at the price of the bars, they're... outrageously expensive, but you can get a thousand free bars with any first-time purchase. Ten bars were 99¢ if that tells you how expensive they are, so I got 1010 bars.

After playing this game for a few days, I'm wondering what the guy means by saying can command 50 units from each class. Is that army, or navy, or is that like ground infantry and ground degnse?

Submitted by Orinks on Monday, August 15, 2016

Hi all,
The description says something about missions. Are these story-based missions or what are they? Battle nations is like this with a cool story but less accessible.

Submitted by tunmi13 on Monday, August 15, 2016

In reply to by Orinks

Those are called Ops. It isn't a story, it's just something to do for fun, tak
your army out on missions and stuff.

Submitted by Mitchell on Saturday, August 20, 2016

Has anyone been able to contact the developers? Also, how can you change the settings in the settings screen and also recruit more than one unit at a time?

Submitted by Mitchell on Tuesday, August 30, 2016

One problem I have noticed today when I hit level 40 is that in the eastern front, there are different tabs to go to different op zones, but I can't click some of them. For instance, Gulf Coast brings up the Repair window.

Submitted by Ken Downey on Wednesday, August 31, 2016

Recruiting muljple units is easy. Just click the unit's name, then hold down the plus button. Be careful though, as the number of units autowraps. Some only go to 40, while others go to 500. If you get the number to its max, you can purchase multiple times at the same level.

Qanks. The anti-bot is annoying though...but it's fun.

Hey it seems there's a lot of questions and complaints about accessibility about this game. I'm a voice over user and been playing this game for quite a while now I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about it. Same time feel free to add me my main account is The Strongest command code

Hello DB1019. First, I just invited you to join my command. My name is Chakotay in the game. Second, I would appreciate any tips that you can pass along. I am totally blind, and understanding some parts of the game are quite confusing. Third, is it possible for a JAWS Windows user to play the game through the Steam website? Finally, there doesn't seem to be a clearly defined method for playing the game. Any help is much appreciated.

I have just posted on your wall within the game. Hopefully we can communicate through this forum to resolve a few questions. As stated in my previous post here, I am known as Chakotay in the game.

This app is accessible and it can also be confusing. Allow me to explain, there’s no definite clickable indicators but they are buttons. During tournament mode, it can be very fast pace and can get confusing but once you figure out where everything is and how to navigate, hands down, this is the best game I ever played. I’ve been playing this game for years now and have been in contacts with the developers who have been very responsive and helpful. Even accommodating to the blind gamers. Myself along with another blind gamer, who goes by the name Chakotay Warrior Commander in game, have been both desiring more voice over users to join the battle. Tons of strategies, fast pace game play, loads of fun! Feel free to reach out with any questions comments or concerns here, or in game. I’ll post how to find me as well as warrior commander below.

When starting the game, it’ll take you through a tutorial. You will learn how to do federation fights as well as operational missions. These elements you’ll have to click on just say engage, and attack. After you get done with the tutorial, before starting your journey, you’ll go to the recruit tab which will be in the bottom right corner of your screen in portrait mode and find where it says, you can invite your friends as commanders by entering their command code. The text box is underneath and you’ll punch in, or you can copy and paste, this code: 733 302 198 It’ll say you have invited The Strongest as a commander. Once I accept your invite, you’ll receive a notification and you can find those along the top of the game screen. Click on the notification tab, swipe to my name and that’ll take you to my profile. You can then swipe til you find where it says wall, click on that. Swipe to the text box and you can write your message to me and post it. You can also swipe to Chakotay Warrior Commander’s name, who is also on my profile as well, click on her name and follow the same steps to write on her wall. We are more than happy to help anyone build a solid account and figure out how to play this awesome game. So come war with us!

Submitted by Roxann Pollard on Wednesday, July 31, 2019

My command code is 596 358 574.

Strongest is correct in that, even though the game appears to have nothing that is clickable, many things are. Just do a one-finger double tap and you will find many things that will open for you.

Please do yourself a favor. Check with either one of us, before you go very far into the game or else you will have a big struggle on your hands as I have had. Allow me to explain. For the first 25 levels, you built your player by yourself. Once you reach level 25, you become eligible to join with an alliance, where you can participate in tournaments. During my first 25 levels, I really had no idea how to build a player. And after all this time, I am still struggling with maintaining my player because of this. Don't make that mistake. Speak with us so we can help you built a very strong player from day one. You can thank us later. LOL. See you on the battle field.

The one feature that put me off playing this game, is the very confusing weapons system. The modern downtown mafia version of this game has a more simple weapons system, yet this particular game even though very good has a very confusing system that I do not understand.
Any help with understanding the weapons system would be much appreciated as all the classes and how much of each class a commander can obtain is all very confusing

Submitted by Roxann Pollard on Thursday, August 1, 2019

I certainly understand the confusion when it comes to the weapons system, otherwise known as Units in the game. I will explain as best I can.

I will just use the first class in the Army.

I am a level 140 player. My Can Command Best number is 5,050 units within each class. in the Army, the first class is Ground Infantry. Within this class there are four units or weapons. They include:
Rifleman, +3 Attack, +2 Defense, Upkeep $8.00.
Grenadier, +5 Attack, +4 Defense, Upkeep $15.00.
Machine Gunner, +4 attack, +5 defense, Upkeep $$22.00
Scout Snyper, +7 attack, +3 defense, Upkeep $30.00.

Overall, the Scout Snyper is the best at attack, while the machine gunner is best at defense.

Toward the top of the screen, you will see the words Can Command Best. This changes as your player grows, as you complete, Fed Fights, and Ops. Currently, my Can Command Best is 5,050. This means that between all four units within the Ground Infantry, I have to choose how many units are deployed for each unit. Remember, there is Upkeep expenses for each unit deployed.

Note: Just because my Can Command Best is currently 5,050, this doesn't mean that you add 5,050 to each of the units you decide to populate. In my case, because I have chosen to make a higher attack player, the Scout Snyper has the largest portion of the units in this class.

When I first started building my player, I thought I had to have the maximum can command best number on each unit. Actually, what you do is look for the highest attack and highest defense. In this case, the machine gunner and scout sniper are the best out of the four units within this class.

Each class of units may not always have four units. Just look at the attack and defense and decide from there.

As you level up, the game will automatically suggest the best units to be added. You make the choice to either add the unit on the attack side or the defense side. It depends on how you want to create your player. Is he higher in attack or defense? Do you want to have him basically be a balanced player? Your choice.

Note: The attack Upkeep is less expensive than the defense Upkeep per unit.

Right now I have all four units within the Ground Infantry populated but my highest numbers are found in the machine gunner and scout sniper spots.

Can Command Best: 5,050
Rifleman: 50
Grinadier: 100
Machine Gunner: 1,145
Scout Snyper: 3,840

The reason why the first two units have very small numbers is only because I needed them to either do a Fed fight or an op somewhere.

If you wish to speak to me directly, just provide a good contact number and I'll help further.

Thank you that makes sense now, do you have an alliance? And if so are you accepting new members as the account I have is at a good enough level to join one.

Submitted by TheStrongest on Thursday, August 1, 2019

In reply to by Hubert

Hey Hubert strongest here. Command code 733 302 198
To answer that question about an alliance we are accepting new members within our mini alliance and from there you have potential to cross over to our main alliance.
The alliance name is dirty Bastardz Resurrection, aka DBZ.
I suggest you reach out to Chakotay here or in game first to gather the information about the alliance as well as to let know you’re coming. For she’s active within the alliance right now.
Hope that answers your question
Happy gaming

I contacted the devs of the game, through the at devs icon on the home screen. From there, go to Email, to contact the devs directly. In the Email, specifically tell them that you are a totally blind player of the game, that you use VoiceOver, and request that you be placed on their white list. What this does is stop you from having to enter the code into the box whenever the bot hits your player. It doesn't stop the bot but somehow passes over the place where you ender the numbers. Note: This will sometimes automatically close the game on you. This is something you have to learn to live with. I think it's partially how the bot makes sure you are not a bot, if that makes sense. Personally, even though it may knock me out of the game, even during a battle, I find it faster to simply enter the game, rather than dealing with the numbers. If the bot requests you to enter the numbers in the future, then contact the devs again and make a second request. I have had to do this once since first being placed on the white list.

Submitted by Roxann Pollard on Thursday, August 1, 2019

Once you have become familiar with the game music, you may wish to stop this; especially if you are in a battle, the game has closed itself do to bot verification, and you just want to get back to the battle and not have VoiceOver interfered with by the game music. All you do is activate SIRI and then deactivate SIRI as if you changed your mind. This stops the game music. You can also stop the game music by creating a message in SATCOM.

Within the game, there are two types of operations. There are the regular ops and special ops. Before you can complete a special op, you must first complete phase one of the regular op. I suggest completing all phase one of the regular ops as soon as they open for you. This way you can complete the special ops as soon as possible and reap the rewards associated with completion of the special ops.

Note: Once you complete the Eagles Dare outpost boost, you will then be able to add 50 more commanders and the associated outposts. Don't be in a hurry with this special op because it will drastically impact your upkeep. Yes, it makes you a much stronger fighter, but your upkeep must be able to withstand the impact of hosting all those new commanders and the outposts that go with them.

Proceeds from Special Ops completion:

U-92 gives 5% attack boost
Valley of Steel gives 3% defense boost
Deep Vault gives 50% treasury boost
Heavy Haul gives 25 Ops cash boost
Floating Hope gives 6% upkeep boost
Sky Raders gives 100% battle cash boost
Hell Frozen Over gives 12% cash income boost
Eagles Dare gives 50% outpost boost, assigns 50 more commanders to outposts
Island of Dark Ops gives 15% supplies boost, requires 50 tomahawk missiles, which are obtained through drone strikes, only during General Max sales. Otherwise, drone strikes only produce cash. Conserve all drone strikes until General Max sale times.
Hell or High Mountain gives 50% treasury boost
Jungle Boogie gives 6% ops pillage boost

i've seriously messed up here.
i've been trying to get the profile to share to alliance and by accident i've turned off the action sounds. is there any way i can accessibly contact the devs or does someone have any suggestions as to what i can do? certainly since ios 13 the app seems less accessible.

Submitted by Roxann Pollard on Monday, September 30, 2019

Hello daz. All is not lost. Unfortunately, though, you will need sighted assistance to turn on/off the game sounds and to open up your profile stats for fellow alliance menbers to be able to view your player. So you can ask a friend or family member or you can write to the devs and enlist their assistance. If you write to the devs, go to the HQ tab, locate @Devs icon. Open that and look for Email. Create an Email and tell them that you are a totally blind, voiceover player of the game. Request that they re-enable the sound notifications and ask them to open your profile stats for you. While you are at it, request that the devs stop the bot verification and place you on the white list. When they do this, you will no longer have to enter the numbers into the text box when it pops up at you. Note: Once the bot verification has been taken off, you will periotically be automatically knocked out of the game. This is quite maddening; however, it's much better and faster to just jump back into the game than to take the time to enter those darn numbers. The Strongest, a fellow blind player first advised me that the devs would stop bot verification but I had to request this. You can get someone you know to open your profile stats and enable the game sounds but you must write to the devs, if you want bot verification to be taken off your player. I am writing to the devs after ternament is over to explain the problems with voiceover to them and ask for an update. Fortunately, I can still fight with my iPhone 6S. I updated my XS first and discovered the problem and so never updated the 6S. Whew!

ok so i wrote to the devs and i got it sorted in the end. so thanks for that you are quite right they are pretty responsive.
i wonder if they will make their game more accessible? i hope so as i rather enjoy it.

so a question i have, some people think i have way too much sp put into supplies. i got over 400 supplies now. they seem to think that i should reset my account. although i sort of like having that many supplies. any of you long time players have any ideas?

also how affective are drills? are they worth while and if so in what situations do people use them?

Submitted by Roxann Pollard on Tuesday, October 1, 2019

Hello Daz. glad the devs help with the previous issues.

As far as supplies are concerned, well, yes, you have way too many, in my opinion. As a level 173 player, I have found that the highest op only needs 290 supplies to complete it. You haven't broken your player capabilities but I think that you have reduced the strength of the player by a good bit. As far as resetting your account, well, I can tell you that the skill points that you put toward the supplies could have been much better allocated toward your attack and defense or even your ammo. The higher your attack and defence, the stronger your player will be in battle. If your account is too messy, and you really want to become a serious, long-term player of the game, it might be the best thing just to reset so that you get started on a better footing and you can build a much stronger player.

Regarding the drills, I do them twice during the day. They are another defence mechanism.

If you would rather talk by phone, I would be very glad to talk with you further to ensure you are a well balanced player. We can talk further about accessability issues, too. There are only a couple of things that are truly not accessible and they are miner things that don't affect the game. If you want to talk, please give a good number and time to contact you. I have found that it's just much easier to talk about the game rather than use a forum sometimes. We can also use WhatsApp, if you would like that better. I have two other blind game players that I converse with inside that app.

Looking forward to speaking with you soon.

Submitted by daz on Wednesday, October 2, 2019

ok so how can you pin a post? someone is trying to protect me but i don't get this whole pinning thing.

Submitted by Roxann Pollard on Wednesday, October 2, 2019

Protect you? Do you mean they want to add you into their diplomacy section?

As far as pinning posts, rather it is on your personal player wall or on the Satcom wall, once you join an alliance, we cannot do this one by ourselves. What I do is, if I want something to be pinned in Satcom for my alliance members to see, I write my post, and then create a second post and request an alliance member to pin it for me. You can delete your post but you cannot pin it. As far as the personal wall is concerned, You can ask someone sighted to pin something on your wall. An alliance member cannot do this, I don't think. Also, I keep my wall tidy so that only the things I want there remain, until I can get someone to pin something for me. For example, one of the things I immediately delete are commander invites. I accept the invite on my wall and then hit the X to delete that invite. The wall and Satcom only have so many spaces. When those fill up, then the last item begins to drop off. Once you join an alliance and you start collecting grants, this area is the same. There is a more button, in the grants area where you see additional grant money. If the bottom is reached and you haven't cashed in your grants, they are lost.

Hopefully this has answered your question. Sorry so long winded.
