Description of App

Blindfold Simon is an fully accessible audio game that's similar to the memory game Simon.

In Blindfold Simon, you listen to a sequence and then repeat that sequence. All action sequences are gestures on your iPhone or iPad, such as swipe up,
down, left or right, or tapping with one finger or two fingers.

Each time you complete all the steps in a sequence, you win coins and move onto a sequence that is one step longer.

There is a one player mode where you can win coins, and a two player mode where you pass the iPhone back and forth between the two players. As you move
from level to level, the number of gesture alternatives gets longer. You can change the many settings in the game.

Blindfold Simon was suggested by several blind gamers who enjoyed Blindfold Solitaire and Blindfold Wildcard.

The game comes with a practice level and an easy level. To play any of the other harder levels, you you need to purchase an in-app upgrade, or support
our advertisers by listening to videos.

Oh wow, sounds like a game I once played that's similar. It was around 5 years ago. Interestingly, my brother who is sighted beet me at that game. Lol! I have to look it up but I first heard about this game from apple vis and it was way cool!

I LOVE this game. I used to play the My Simon version of this game when younger. I've been sorely missing this since losing sight.

This rendition of the game is simply fantastic! It is easy to learn, but very challenging to master.

There are greater player selection options based upon your preferences for sounds, and you can adjust the level of difficulty based upon your mood and/or energy.

The $8.99 in app purchase to fully enable all aspects of the game is quite reasonable, compared to the prices of some other games I've purchased but tired of all too quickly.

I think this is a great game for anyone from youth to seniors.

Thanks KFS! (aka Marty).

Hi! I installed Blindfold Simon yesterday, and I like it so much after doing a few practice levels that I have already bought the full upgrade: I don't know if I'll ever play this game in two-player mode, but buying the full upgrade bundle means I have that option if I want it in the future. Now that I'm getting pretty good at the practice levels, I'll soon start playing the game properly. However, I would like to point out one tiny little bug I found in the game, namely that, if I change the voice from Woman to Man in the settings, the voice stays female: I'd rather use the built-in TTS instead of VoiceOver to play this game, and I prefer the male voice, assuming it's the same one as in other Blindfold games, but being unable to use it is not a serious problem and will not stop me playing. Many thanks to kidFriendlySoftware for developing Blindfold Simon and so many other excellent bgames.

I'll look into that problem. By the way, the problem with using the voiceover voice is that is not as controllable. I cannot stop it when you make a new gesture, so the game slows down a lot, and sometimes feels out-of-sync.

I must say, it's good to have the choice between the built-in TTS and VoiceOver when playing Blindfold Simon: I think this is the first of these games in which that has been possible. I read about the drawbacks of using VoiceOver for Blindfold Simon in the game's user guide, so, although I did try it, I went back to the other TTS as it's more responsive. Thanks in advance for sorting out the voice gender butg in the TTS of Blindfold Simon, if you can, though.

Hi Kid friendly. Thanks for an awesome game, I have wildcard, and also blindfold war. My question is pretty simple. If you want us to earn coins, I'm all for it, but how are you supposed to if the only ones that are unlocked, are the practice levels? I'm ok either buying the upgrade or earning coins, but I am just not sure how I can earn coins with only the practice levels. Just a thought. :)

I cant earn coins. I once earned to coins by listening to a video. However I can't earn more coins because most of the offers are web games and they are too visual for me to play them. Isn't there a way for you to just earn coins by listening to videos and not by playing web games?

I understand that not all offers are accessible, but the cool part is that you don't need to do much. If its a video, you can listen. If its a web game, and takes you to another website, just visiting that website - I think - is sufficient to get coins. If it asks you to install an app, you actually need to do the install and maybe even start the app up. Be careful though, because its easy to get your iPhone cluttered with apps that you don't want. You won't lose the coins if you remove the app. Does that help?

Is it possible to also earn coins while playing? ` is for every move you get right you can rack up coins in the levels? Just a suggestion. I read the manual but I notice you don't earn any points on the practice levels. Is this accurate?

No, its not possible to earn coins by playing. We tried doing a mixture of advertisements and points that in an earlier version of PONG, but that got very confusing and annoyed several people. In the next version of HOPPER, if you don't want to buy any inapp upgrades, you can use coins to unlock levels, and points that you win in the game to get more inventory items.

Hi. I'm loving the game! Interestingly enough, some settings don't seem to change when I change them to another setting. For example, if I change the voice from female to male, the setting sticks to a female voice. If I change the pitch of the voice to low, it stays at hi, no matter how many times I try to do it. Also, the less talk and sound effects option always stays off, even when I turn it on. The use voiceOver instead of speech option does seem to work, however. I should mention that I don't currently have the upgrade yet, but I plan to buy it soon. Just figured you should know!

You found 3 bugs; I just fixed them and resubmitted. It should take about a week for apple to release it. Thanks. The game testers didn't find these issues.

Thanks kid friendly I didn't realize you had to tap to see the offers. Now with the coins, hwo do you unlock the level? I tapped it, maybe I need to select start game? great game and I will buy other upgrades soon. :)

Shoot, should have known I had to touch start game. Duh. Lol sorry for cluttering up the thread.

What should happen is when you try to access a level that's locked, it checks for how many coins you have. If you have enough, it asks if its ok to unlock it and use the coins. Otherwise it tells you to get more coins.

I'm not sure what do you think about this, but there could be an option in blindfold simon one that played a part of your iTunes songs for each action.

Submitted by KidFriendlySoftware on Monday, August 24, 2015

In reply to by Igna Triay

I like that idea, but unfortunately, its not that easy. From what I remember with Blindfold Racer, I had to import iTunes songs into the game, and then let you choose from those songs. I could not play the songs directly. This may have changed in more recent versions of iOS; I'll check.

Hmm because of apple's sand boxing I would not think this to be possible.

Just my limited thoughts.

Take care.

This version has minor bug fixes.
I just saw the new update in my appstore, but I think it was from a few days ago and since I did not see the version posted here I decided to post it. Sorry I posted this late.

I have a comment about web games. if you open web site by pressing earn koins button, you won't get koins just for visiting it. You should play game, i have the same problem. We can't play this game because it's to visual. What should we do with that? Thanx

Tell me the specific web game, and I can go through the same process as you, and see what happens, and if its not sufficiently accessible, I can talk to tapjoy about it.
If it's easier, send me a screenshot of the offer wall page, and tell me which offer you took advantage of. I already found a similar problem in a survey I took where I never got any credit. I think you know my email.

Hi. There are many non accessible games that say play, win, share. From this company. Thanx

Submitted by KE7ZUM on Saturday, September 5, 2015

I to am finding all of these to be true as well. I was playing I think it was dominos and wanted to try and earn coins, but yeah it looks like this company is doing more games then videos as far as I can see, or from what I saw at about 3 am this morning.

Be blessed.

Submitted by Seva on Saturday, September 5, 2015

I agree about videos, there are a few videos. I don't understand why all websites are web games only. That's strange

Submitted by Nina on Saturday, September 5, 2015

I agree with the two previous posts. I am seeing more web games as well. I was wondering, I don't know how hard it will be to do, or if possible, but what if they have ads like DiceWorld? Prompt people if they want to watch videos to earn coins after certain intervals of time. Maybe after they lose a game or something like that. I don't know just my input here.

I found tapjoy at the suggestion of one of the people on this forum; I think diceworld may use the same system. I may be able to provide a way to only do videos, instead of the full list of offers that they have. I thought by providing more, it would make it easier; I guess I was wrong again. Once I find out, it may take a while to revise all the games that use coins to switch over, but I'll work on it.

Submitted by Igna Triay on Saturday, September 5, 2015

I agree with these comments. Also, the videos should be worth more points. The web games are two in accessible. And about being wrong, don't worry. We are only human after all. We all make mistakes,. Your games are great. Thanks.

I don't control the payout on videos; the advertisers do. I'll keep this forum posted when I hear from Tapjoy.

Hi,

I love this game, and am quite addicted after unlocking the levels.
put into the settings. I remember that was a fun part of the old pocket repeat hand-held games that I used to play, and it would be especially challenging for the musical tones that we are able to choose from.
Do you think it would be possible for us to also upload sounds of a few seconds to the game as well? That might be quite difficult though. I am not sure how programming works.

Thanks so much,
Kim
I wonder if an option to speed up the sounds could be

Submitted by KE7ZUM on Friday, September 11, 2015

In reply to by Kim

In regard to uploading our own sounds that might not be possible due to sandboxing, that is, each app has its own compartment and cannot access the core of the iOs to enable you to do this.

Take care.

Submitted by Chris on Sunday, September 13, 2015

ke7zum is correct. iOS apps are sandboxed. The only way to get more sounds would be if the dev put the sounds in and release an update.

Hello. Is there any information from tabhjoy about websites and what we have to do with webgames?

Submitted by Seva on Monday, September 14, 2015

I have A suggestion. It will be great if we can use not only swipe gestures, but we can use gieo to move the debice up, down, left, or right. It will be good if we can select it from the settings

Submitted by KidFriendlySoftware on Monday, September 14, 2015

How many other people would like to use the gyro as well? It would have swing left, swing right, swing up, swing down, along with tapping the screen for the fifth and sixth gestures.

Submitted by Igna Triay on Monday, September 14, 2015

It could be optional.

Hello. There is a bug in the game, i can't post scores to twitter. When there is a message about that i can post my score, after that it automaticly returnes to the main menu. Please fix it. Thanx.
