The whole thing's absolutely Barking.

...and Dagenham.

Dagenham. Actually, read that in a book someone jokingly said the guy is 3 stops from Dagenham.

No one outside the UK is going to have a clue about that reference... Actually, I like it. I feel special.

I know that right well enough. I mean, plenty of people in the bleedin' UK won't be familiar with 'this is a District Line train, to Barking'. But what's your point? Does every reference Bingo makes have to transcend borders? I referred to Alf Garnet and Mary Whitehouse yesterday - references with which those under a certain age would struggle. You'll have to forgive me - I am still the kind of chap who drops lines like 'don't panic, I am a doctor' and 'Bordeau's one of the clarets all right.' into conversations expecting folk to know what I'm talking about.

'Hot potato, orchestra stalls, Puck will make amends.'
