Major update
A new version is come out. It's a major update. I hope it's still accessible.
I just got the dac amp and really love it.
Praise forQudelix
I've been looking for a headphone amp and dac for my iPhone ever since they stopped including the 3.5mm Headphone jack.
The standard Apple headphone dongle apparently works really well for most people. However, I wanted more control over my sound.
TheQudelix-5K is the best for my case that I've tried so far.
The app is very accessible and gives me total control over the system.
there are hundreds of presets for all kinds of headphones. When I applied the one for my over ear open back headphones, the results were astonishing! I just love the sound.
The physical controls are fairly easy to use once you get the hang of them.
And for voice over users, Bluetooth latency is very low.
I won't go into all the features specs or give a review but I think this dac/Headphone amplifier is a darn good option for people who want to use any wired headphones. And need low latency Bluetooth.
The update's good.
The update went OK. I had to disconnect and reconnect to also apply a firmware update. There were voice prompts all the way through. No worries about doing something wrong. I only lost a few equalizer presets.
I found something new. There is now a latency control which has three levels. from the stable but longer latency to potentially unstable but shorter. I'm using the shorter latency and haven't had any issues so far. sadly, the shortest latency isn't quite good enough for music creation.
I'm still really liking the headphone amp. I love being able to apply parametric equalization curves. I can notch out frequencies that tend to make my ears ring. And compensate by boosting others nearby.
I really appreciate that equalization and some other settings are stored on the Headphone amp. This means I don't need to have the app open to use the settings.
Glad that You are Enjoying the App
I am glad that it is not just me enjoying this app. The potential for EQ is outstanding with it. That being said, I don't suppose you could possibly direct me to a good website or resource to learn how to EQ properly in a way that is accessible with Voiceover or even on Windows? Any help would be appreciated. So far, I've just been using the thousands of EQ presets, but I'd sure love to learn how to EQ it myself. Thanks.
I'm looking for a tutorial too
I mostly just fiddle around.. But if I come up with something I'll let you know.
