Other Comments

The only known issues that I have is the Map. At any point when you double tap on a business and such. It will bring you in to a page that contains information about the business you are interested. You will find that by flicking to the right will run in to a map that will go on forever in telling you all of the streets around this location. If you use your finger to move around towards the center. This should jump you in to a pretty accessible area where you can hit the Route button which then let you select from a list of supported GPS apps that you have installed. There are also other information like phone numbers and etc. It is a pretty nice app for being free.

AroundMe is very nice with ability to search using a variety of categories (Apple Store,e Restaurant, Bar and etc) and by name of point of interest. Once a POI is selected, one is able to select phone number within the app and call to check for business hours and so much more. There is also the option to have the route shown in ones favorite navigation app--Google Maps, Navigon and etc. TomTom

I have really enjoyed this ap to find places to eat, banks, and places to purchase gas. I love how it gives the distance from you and updates to your location. Its very voice over friendly.
AroundMe can also be used to search for points of interest near locations other than your current position if you want to use it for planning. To change the search location double tap the globe icon in the bottom left corner of the main screen. Type in the address information for the new location you wish to check in the search field on the Location screen, then double tap the search button at the bottom right of the virtual keyboard. Fiind the entry in the list below the search field and double tap to select. You'll be returned to the main screen. Now when you launch your search you'll be shown points of interest and distances from your input location rather than your current location. You can save these as app "Favorites" for easy access, just as usual. To return the default search to your current location, double tap the globe icon button at the bottom left of the main AroundMe screen, and double tap "current location" from the first entry in the list of locations below the search field. Your previous search locations will also remain in this list until cleared.
