Accessibility Comments

Although there are a few buttons that aren’t clearly labeled, the interface itself is fairly straightforward. You also may have to turn off and on screen recognition quite frequently depending on what part of the app you’re in and what activity you’re doing. Editing the script can be a little bit challenging, I’ve been able to do it OK on short videos, but for my 10 minute videos or longer I just ended up going on a PC to do it. It can be done on the phone, it just takes quite a bit of extra work.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Few buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.

Other Comments

In creating my YouTube channel, this app has been absolutely phenomenal. To give you all an example of what it can create, I will put a link to one of my pieces of work here. Please note that this is not to promote myself, it’s to give you all a sense of the power behind this app.
You can also translate all of your videos into 50+ languages. I did a copy of this video that I’m about to show you in Ukraine as we have a Ukrainian member in our family now.

OK, so for some reason today, I can’t figure out how to go back and edit the iOS version, but I’m on the latest version of iOS:

Hi,

Just wanted to say that I just finished listening to your video about your journey with your guide dog. Guide dogs are absolutely amazing! I miss mine quite a bit, had mine from 2016, until a couple of years ago, but had to retire him due to acute arthritis he developed in his hips. He is a yellow lab. Still a great dog, but unable to do guide dog work anymore. These days he is spoiled by the children of the family I adopted him out too. So, he is living his best life as a retiree.
Regarding your video, that is really impressive, both your journey, and that you were able to create that video with the Invideo application for iOS. As much as I hate using this phrase, I have a feeling this app will be a game changer for blind content creators, especially if the developers can iron out the accessibility issues.

Thanks for sharing this with us. 😎✌️🦮

Thank you so much.
This app actually makes it possible to make videos without any cited assistance.

In order to make sure the majority of the footage was correct, I did run a bit of it through piccybot lol.
Guide dogs are amazing. My guide dog, my first guide dog retires this year. I’m not ready for it so I’m gonna ignore it. lol.
It’s why I’m sharing the app. I feel if more blind content creators, or people thinking about starting content creation get involved, we can put our community on notice 😊.
I have so many stories so I’m using the app to tell them.

I hear ya. One of the most difficult decisions of my life was giving up my guide dog. In my case, I just could not really afford the veterinary bills anymore. He developed acute arthritis in his hips, and these days struggles to get up off the ground, though once he is up he is still able to walk and even run a little bit, and he's still very playful, even though he is 11 years old.
Would love to get another guide dog some day, but I have been dealing with a knee injury myself, for a couple of years now, and as you know guide dog schools are very particular about guide dog owners being capable of walking long distances. Something I don't do so well, even with a good knee brace ... 😅

Regarding Invideo, if they ever get accessibility sorted out, maybe I'll post some stories of my own one day.
We shall see ... 🤷🏽‍♂️

You should play around with it. It’s very usable. It’s not like it’s not accessible, the accessibility could just be much better. ❤️.

Hey guys,
I have a question. I read the tutorial, and watched the video.
However, I’m having trouble uploading my own voice. How do you go about doing this?
