Accessibility Comments

  • No haptic feedback unless you sign in and have access to the settings, and no audio feedback at all
  • The button that lets you send your prompt/message sometimes becomes inaccessible through one finger flicks or by placing a finger and moving it across the screen; you have to find an “Open more options” button that brings up a menu for the respective message, and double-tap on it to hide the keyboard.
  • VoiceOver does not announce whether the various options in the settings screen that can be toggled are enabled or disabled.
  • The OCR feature sounds promising but I've not tried it yet.

Usability

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.

Other Comments

  • No voices to chat with; Anthropic and Mistral AI are lagging far behind in that respect
  • No settings screen or option to customize the app overall experience while interacting with the LLM unless you sign in
  • No chat export functionality
  • Le Chat still appears to be one of the most privacy-oriented options out there though, and it's super-fast. Its responses are also comparable to GPT5 in terms of accuracy. Yes, I'm not kidding or exaggerating. The responses are clear and straightforward so you get the key takeaways without all the annoying chattiness. Its multilingual capabilities don't appear as powerful as those of other models though, including Llama. Its responses were weird and grammatically problematic when I tried to chat with it in Turkish.
