Say more with Threads — Instagram’s text-based conversation app
Threads is where communities come together to discuss everything from the topics you care about today to what’ll be trending tomorrow. Whatever it is you’re interested in, you can follow and connect directly with your favorite creators and others who love the same things — or build a loyal following of your own to share your ideas, opinions and creativity with the world.

Search results
The search tab also currently has some accessibility issues, with VoiceOver not announcing the text of the results, only the buttons that accompany them.
The app and Threads itself aren't bad. It can be used with VoiceOver with some patience. But it sure feels like an early beta rather than a final product. I know why it was rushed out the door, but I can't help but think that this might hurt them in the long term as some people might be put off by how much is missing right now and not bother to give it a second chance.
Time will tell.
Can I integrate this with my Instagram account that I already ha
Can I connect this app with my main Instagram account? I have a lot of flowers on there and it is continuing to grow. never mind. I figured it out. And yes, I can connect to my Instagram account with that one. And I didn’t mean to say flowers I meant followers. L O L.
From The Android Side Of Things...
Yes, custom actions are currently not available among the Android aqpp either. With that being said, Commentary (Jieshuo) works better with Threads at this time much better than Talkback, especially when it comes to going past pictures.
But then again, most applications on Android don't even do the Custom Actions thing as of now. Hopefully that's a thing once Android 14 comes out.
FYI:
No issues with the search area when using either screen reader.
Tested with a Galaxy S23+ running 1UI 5.1, with the July 2023 security patch.
A feature I like
I love that you can limit who can reply to your posts, as well as limit who can reply to your comments on the posts of others. It cuts down on the bullies and the hate comments. I can turn off replies if people get nasty. Every social media platform should have this.
