First, find a washing tag in your clothing. For example in most T shirts the washing tags are at the back of the neckline or on a seam on the inside somewhere. Then I open the app and point my camera at the washing tags, for best results I found I had to point the camera steadily for at least 3 or 4 seconds at about 10 inches apart. Sometimes you can have 2 washing tags one on top of another. I picked my newest shirt so the chances of the symbols on the tags being faded from repeated washing was low and I showed the tag to sighted help and they confirmed that there was 5 symbols and they were not faded. Using the app As a blind person I could only recognize 3 out of the 5 symbols at once, where as the sighted person could get the app to recognize all 5 symbols at once but, that could be user error at my part lol.
