Apple has today released macOS Ventura 13.4, watchOS 9.5, and tvOS 16.5 to the public.
The release notes for macOS Ventura 13.4 say that it “addresses a VoiceOver issue with navigating to landmarks on webpages.” Additionally, we are aware of the following new bug:
- In System Settings > General > Software update > Beta updates, nothing happens when attempting to click the “Learn more” button using VoiceOver.
As of now, we haven't identified any further bug fixes, enhancements, or newly introduced bugs that specifically affect the experience of blind and low vision users in these updates. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates if needed.
We strive to provide the most comprehensive and accurate information about the accessibility status of Apple software releases. However, as a small team, it is impossible for us to test every device, configuration, application, and use case. That's why we depend on our community to help us ensure that our information is as complete and accurate as possible. If you have tested macOS Ventura 13.4, watchOS 9.5 or tvOS 16.5 for accessibility, please share any additional fixes, enhancements, or regressions you've discovered in the comments below. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us provide the best information to our community.

How to Update
To install macOS Ventura 13.4, choose System Settings from the Apple menu, select General in the table, click Software Update in the scroll area, and click the Update Now button to begin the update process. If other updates are available, you can click "More info" to see details about them and select specific updates to install.
watchOS 9.5 is available via Over-the-Air Update (Settings > General > Software Update) or by going to the Watch app on your iPhone and navigating to General> Software Update. To install the update, your Watch must be connected to its charger and have at least 50% battery power.
To install tvOS 16.5 on Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD, go to the Settings channel, then look for the System section near the bottom. From here, look for Software Updates under Maintenance, then select Update Software and Download and Install. Wait for your Apple TV to download the update. Don't disconnect or unplug your Apple TV until the update completes.
Is my watch stuck?
Trying to update watch and it just keeps saying checking for update in progress. been this way for 30 minutes. every other device got updates fine. Is my watch stuck? This has never happened.
Haven't upgraded yet
I was rather hoping to hear some thoughts and comments before I upgraded. So far, crickets. Nothing really positive, nothing really negative.
Optimizing My Mac
I just updated my system, and so far so good. I did get a message upon completion of the updating process, which said that my Mac was being optimized and that the battery level would be changed. Or something to that effect. But when I checked I found that 13.4 had been installed. Anybody else experienced this message?
I believe that message is…
I believe that message is normal after an update, and once optimization is complete, performance and battery life should return to normal levels.
