VoiceOver occasionally freezes for ten to fifteen seconds, usually after double-tapping on an app icon to open it.

On occasion, when you double-tap on an icon on the home screen in order to open an app, VoiceOver will stop speaking and become unresponsive for a short time, usually about ten to fifteen seconds.
