Ok I posted here before after having so many problems with the sound of voice over on my new iphone 5s. Obviously as a blind user sound is very important to me and after spending £700 for new version of iphone I was so dissapointed with the distorted, muffeled sound of voice over as well as not being able to increase the volume, it was only on half the volume.
Went through such ordeal and few missions: Visited the Apple store in Covent Garden, then Apple store in Regent Street, both stores offered to replace the handset but after checking about 8 different once I was told that they couldn't help me and that perhaps I need to wait untill new software or fixes are released. In the end I had to return my phone and get the refund.
After few weeks I went to another Apple store in Stratford this time and the staff there were really trying and going above board. They send few e-mails to Apple Technical support, turned on the Diagnostics, send another message to Apple in US.
I got few replies and still no solution, replies described how to turn the Voice Over on which I found a bit offending as after all I have been a Voice Over user for over three years and it seemed that they didn't read was my problem was.
Now to cut the story short. After playing with my ne phone and struugling with the horrible sound for 3 days I discovered that within Languages & Dialects after selecting the language there is also a button below Enhanced Quality, after selecting this it downloaded the enhanced quality of British English and my problem was finaly solved.
Well I just wished that all these people employed by Apple who call themselves experts in Accessibily or Genius just knew this simple adjustment!
