boot menu with VoiceOver

hello,

as far as I can tell, the boot menu is not accessible with VoiceOver. I used Bootcamp in the past, before having to remove to install an update. the only way to switch between Mac and windows temporarily was to use the inaccessible boot menu., because of APFS

I believe on some computers

I believe on some computers the boot menu can be used with VoiceOver, however I have not been able to test this as I don’t have a Mac that supports it. Apple seems to have very limited info on which computers this works with.

You cannot make the boot manu

You cannot make the boot manu accessible, n fact I don't ever see that happening as ther are no audio drivers that are yet loaded for such.

Yes but I called Apple

Yes but I called Apple accessibility and they said on certain Mac models the menu does work with VoiceOver. Apple makes their own hardware, and FileVault is already accessible on macOS, so this shouldn't be that much more difficult to accomplish.

I don't recall ever reading

I don't recall ever reading this anywhere. Are we sure the rep knew what they were talking about? Besides you can always launch recovery mode and change your start up disk that way, o or do it. It through system prefs, so there are work arounds.

Hold down option at boot, or

Hold down option at boot, or go to system prefs then start up. In boot camp go to the boot camp menu in thesys tray and go to start up. There you can choose the disk you want to have start up.
