Creating Constraints for Auto Layout in Xcode 8.3?

In previous xCode, it was easy to create constraints for auto layout by selecting UI objects in the document outline table and choose align.
However, align is dimmed unless you hide document outline table.
In xCode 8.3, how do you select multiple objects and create constraints?
