Apple Beta Releases

Hello,

I was wondering what the best way is to give apple feedback about accessibility bugs in betas of iOS 16:
- Using the feedback app (but there is no accessibility category)
- Mailing to accessibility at apple . com

Thanks
regards

Share Your Bug Reports with AppleVis

If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.

If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.

In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.

All reports shared with AppleVis must first be filed with Apple via Feedback Assistant. More information about the Community Bug Program is available here.

Hey Falco, good question.

The Feedback Assistant on your device will be the best option as it will automatically add diagnostic logs to each report. These provide Apple with information about your hardware and configuration. The logs can also be particularly useful with some types of bugs as they will tell Apple what was happening before and during the time the bug presented itself. All of this helps Apple engineers with reproducing and isolating the issue that you are reporting.

As for the category question, “Accessibility” is offered to me as an option in the Feedback Assistant when selecting from “which area are you seeing an issue with?” After selecting “Accessibility” here, I have the option later in the form to select from “what does the accessibility issue you are seeing involve?” Note that this second question will only appear after selecting “Accessibility” in the earlier question.

Are you not presented with these options?

Hi. There is an accessibility option in the Feedback app. Once you’ve chosen iOS, for example, types in a title, the next option is “which area are you seeing an issue with“. One of the options is accessibility. The next question will allow you to pick VoiceOver

You need to follow David's instructions as they are spot on. It is absolutely a choice.
