Share Your Bug Reports with AppleVis
If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.
If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.
In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.

should I update?
I haven't updated to any of the betas for Mac OS. What is everyone's experience, is it worth it?
The same advice as ever
If you want to test a beta version to find and report bugs, and it isn't your primary device (or you have an alternative to use while reinstalling the operating system if the beta causes serious probelms), then go ahead and update. Otherwise, wait. In my case, I have a non-Mac laptop that I can comfortably use if I need to reinstall macOS completely. I've never needed to do so, despite running lots of beta releases, but you might be less fortunate than I. Always be preapred to deal with a complete reinstallation while running beta versions.
I think , there is no need for the caution now
For me, OS beta 7 is very normal to use. There are no show-stopping bugs. Betas are now fairly stable.
Hasn't given me much that is interesting
I did have a play with the siri stuff when I first downloaded it but, to be honest, that's fallen by the wayside. There's nothing new of note. I'd wait for the official. I don't think you'll notice a great deal of difference. Safari is still not responding, but that's just expected these days. Not very clever people covering that one.
yes, betas are now stable
for me, I've been testing since developer beta 1. it has been an interesting ride for Golden gate. I do all my beta testing on my M 5 MacBook Pro, which is a primary device. for me, personally, all important data is in one of many cloud storage services. I have pictures as well, but they hold little value to me, as a totally blind person. the rest of my family would disagree. I wonder if, and when, Apple will stop naming macos releases. Apple's Crackpot marketing team, will eventually not be budgeted for, in my opinion. Craig seems to have a bit of fun with announcing that, at every WWDC. I think it's one way of bringing mistery that Apple still has.
