Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but it turns out in the second beta of iOS 17 voiceover has a new haptic feedback.
Iβve noticed it when scrolling across lists, dragging down the notification centre and going back to the home screen. Just feels like it makes iOS that little bit more interactive.

Share Your Bug Reports with AppleVis
If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.
If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.
In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.
All reports shared with AppleVis must first be filed with Apple via Feedback Assistant. More information about the Community Bug Program is available here.

I noticed this feature too, it feels pretty good.
iOS 13
I donβt use haptics, so unless something has changed, haptic feedback has been available ever since iOS 13
I stand corrected.
After turning on haptics, I noticed that there were indeed more haptics. Going into the sounds reveals that there are indeed a few more sounds with haptics on them. Disregard my last comment.
Progress Updates
Don't know if this is the right place to post that but I've reported a suggestion to Apple three times. Don't you think it'd be great to have audio or haptic feedback or speech to indicate progress updates with adjustable intervals and beeps rising in pitch like in NVDA? I discussed that in more detail in the relevant thread.
As long as there's a toggle for off audio
Gimme haptics and that's it. Never liked the NVDA stuff, especially when you were downloading it, it sounded like a lifesupport machine. annoying for me lol.
Are these new haptics on the SE
Ari haptics on the SE 2022
Why wouldn't they be?
It would make sense the phone model is not a factor in this case. I'd still wait for a couple of public betas for you since technology can be finicky and there might be bugs that would drive you crazy. As such, the software keyboard speaking every letter is completely bugging me. i can not wait for beta three.

I will wait for beta 4. Will see!!!
Just toggle audio off if you don't like it that way
Well, just set sound to off for progress announcements and done. This you can do for almost everything so you may be right about how NVDA's progress announcements sound but the gradually rising pitch is still great to indicate how much is completed. So I would call it a fairly functional audio representation of a progress bar.
Quick responses
First, yes there should be no reason that itβs not on the SE. Also, yeah thanks to that I've completely turned off the sounds now, I have gone between on and off for a while but don't have them now. The keyboard issue is annoying as well, I agree. The annoying part is the lack of direct touch working on the keyboard, I have submitted this to Apple. If bugs annoy you, or you struggle to go back, do not install yet, personally for me it has been stable, but like any beta there are little bugs dotted around, and for some few can turn into a combined issue, unless you know what you're getting into and you're ready, hold off.
