Apple Beta Releases

hi all,

I found an old post on AppleVis, made by an arainion, who wanted Persion in iOS. the post is from 2017. they linked to a persion website in that post. though I only speak English, I wanted to try VoiceOver in other languages besides English. so my findings. I went to the provided link, and VoiceOver said unpranouncible with commas using Eloquence, just like the person said. so I added persion to my roter languages and started reading the site with the persion voice. I knotest, VmoiceOver reads persion now, in iOS 16. this is great to see. haven’t tried the persion keyboard yet, but I will and post to this thread.

Share Your Bug Reports with AppleVis

If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.

If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.

In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.

All reports shared with AppleVis must first be filed with Apple via Feedback Assistant. More information about the Community Bug Program is available here.

Hi Daniel. I made that post back in 2017 - and later, and am glad that iOS 16 provides a Persian voice. However, what I've found, and reported to Apple, is that VoiceOver never auto-switches to that Persian voice whenever Persian text is encountered. Here - on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, VoiceOver either switches to the low-quality Arabic voice instead of the correct Persian voice, or never makes the switch. I've tested both Alex and Eloquence, and have to always make the switch myself manually via the Rotor. This is quite strange because Arabic isn't included in my Rotor languages, but VoiceOver always thinks that the Persian stuff is in Arabic. Hope it is fixed before the final iOS 16 release, but I reported it with the first beta and no fix has been provided yet.
