Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms

Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.

If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

I was so thrilled to hear that the writing tools announcement was removed in the beta, I can hardly sleep at night.

I've ran into my own dock weirdness, similar to what has been reported before, where the only way out of the dock is to launch a new app or Command+Tab to an app I don't want to use. I've heard it's fixed in the beta, and I hope my nearly identical issue is also resolved.

Text editing has really gone to the toilet lately. Move by paragraph has become all sorts of flaky. It defines a paragraph differently whether moving forward or backward, and it outright refuses to read some single-line paragraphs. Other times, it skips over whole blocks of paragraphs. In short, it has made it almost impossible for me to pursue writing and editing. I hope this gets fixed.

I'm constantly seeing weird pronunciations. The latest is the acronym RCD (that's the letters R, C, and D) pronounced as R-D-C. Where on Earth does a bug like that come from. But I have contacted accessibility and opened feedback reports, and by now I've given up all hope that pronunciation oddities will ever be addressed.

Still holding out hope for my dock bug and the move by paragraph issues.

Yes, I thought I was doing something wrong in terms of paragraph navigation as I was thinking, ā€œYes; I must be doing something wrong.ā€ This feature cannot be buggy as it must be possible to do something that easy. LOL; Yes, I prepared a feedback report for the dock issue. I hope that turns out to be fixed. Also, when typing a search query to the address bar on Safari, I'm really tired of hearing the whole thing I type every time I type a new character. It disturbs me so badly. I turned typing suggestions or address suggestions off in the Safari settings, but that doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?

Hi,

While this may not be ideal, you might want to consider temporarily muting speech when typing the address in the address field of your web browser.

HTH.

By Mert Ozer on Monday, March 17, 2025 - 03:20

Yes, I did many times, but this is not ideal, as you said. Also, sometimes VoiceOver becomes unresponsive after muting the speech for more than five secondsā€”I donā€™t know why. But I realized that if I mute the speech while VoiceOver is speaking, it becomes unresponsive; other times, itā€™s perfectly fine. A really weird issue.

Really? Even on an M4 machine? Does this only happen with Safari, or any web browser? Ask him because I do not know of another way to stop speech while typing out an address, otherwise.

Yeah, man, unfortunately. I donā€™t think this has anything to do with the processor or the machine itself, Iā€™m using an m4 pro machine, no less. This machine can run a Windows virtual machine faster than all the windows laptops I have ever tested with Intell's latest processor models but can't handle voiceover's stupid optimization when muting the speech LOL

Also, this issue doesnā€™t only happen in Safari, but also other apps as well. But it occasionally happens, not all the time.

I have installed the beta copy of mac OS 15.4 as a dual boot installation with my original mac OS to test it out. If you have any bugs in mind, comment them here and I'll check it out to see if that is fixed. Also, the issue with the dock when having no other apps open seems to be gone. Thank god!

Can we guys please discuss beta topics in the beta forum and avoid duplicates of more or less the same topic? That's why I've been creating these threads per beta update and the community seems to like this trend.
TLDR, I honestly haven't tried a lot that last beta yet, but I can confirm the wta and the dock issue gone.

Hi all,

Just a quick note that I have moved this topic into the Apple Beta forum.

Best,

Apple music seems fixed, but it's a bit inconsistent in public beta 2. How is your experience with Apple music in new Mac OS betas?
