Hello,
I'm participating in a course through Techopolis Online Solutions, which teaches indeviduals who are blind or have low vision to create apps for Apple platforms.
The instructor team strongly recommends using an iPad with a connected keyboard, rather than the onscreen one or a mac, for those who are just getting started.
My question for folks on this forum is this:
What's a good keyboard case that works well with Voiceover & does not require being charged separate from the iPad itself?
I've had Apple magic keyboards & they were ok.
I've also tried Zagg products but didn't really like them.
I'd also like something that doesn't add more unnecessary weight to the device.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations you can provide.

Magic Keyboard
Only with this Keyboard, you'll get the most integrated experience. All other keyboards have had strange behavior for me. With the M4 iPads, Apple has redesigned the Magic Keyboard and it's very much improved now.
I use the Magic Keyboard for the 11-inch iPad Pro M4, and it works very well.
However, I cannot understand why an iPad is better for creating apps, especially for VoiceOver users. From my Swift Playgrounds experience so far on iPad, I find the app to be an absolute mess with VoiceOver.
Xcode isn't the best either, but much better than Swift Playgrounds on iPad. And, you can use CLI tools on Mac which I find to be very convenient if you just start out and want to learn the language and play around with samples. For example, I love the Swift REPL to try out stuff before actually implement something more complex. On iPad, you'd have to create a playground for this while working around VoiceOver's bad experience in Playgrounds which can really slow you down.
