Hello all,
I'm experiencing a strange issue with my Focus 40 Blue 5th generation. All keys are working except the rocker bars.
When entering diagnostics mode and pressing them, only left rocker bar up and right rocker bar up show a message (lru and rru). Meanwhile, in Scratchpad, going to the previous line with the rocker bars causes an unexpected behaviour, like going quickly up and down with the arrow keys. When entering the Focus 40 Blue 5th generation internal menu, only right rocker bar down works, and it skips some menu items.
When using the product with Windows and Iphone, the rocker bars are not responding at all and pass the next keys through, so when I accidentally hit them, I must press a panning button twice to be able to use it, for instance).
I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before. Is this a hardware or a software issue? If it's a software issue, can I fix it myself?
Thank you in advance,
Alexandra

Same Display, but never had that problem.
As stated in the subject, I have this display, but have never experienced this behavior. Best bet is to update the firmware. That could fix it. Otherwise you may need to send it in. Hope that doesn't end up being the case for you.
likely a hardware issue of some kind
Sadly, this sounds like something which may require sendig the display back. I've never witnessed this type of issue before, but there's a first time for everything. Usually, it's failed dots or spacebars. Have you tried resetting the Focus? I wouldn't count on this fixing it, but it's worth a try.
sounds like a hardware/firmware issue
That sounds like some sort of hardware failure. Since it's inconsistent, it might be worth checking for a firmware update or doing a factory reset, just in case something's gone wonky internally in the code. If that doesn't work, you'll have to send it back to Vispero or crack it open yourself
