Pairing Baum VarioUltra 20 to iPhone Xs

Braille on Apple Products

Hi everyone!
I have a question I would really appreciate your help with!

I'm expecting a VarioUltra 20 Braille display in about a week. However, it seems there is some kind of issue pairing this display with an iPhone Xs. I wonder, is there someone who owns a VarioUltra and an iPhone Xs who could tell me whether there have been any issues pairing the display and the phone? If so, do you know of any work-around for this issue? Also please, if you haven't experienced any issues with these devices, feel free to tell me so! That would really ease my worries a lot.

Have a wonderful day!
I appreciate all answers!

Hello, I have no issues, and I've got my VarioUltra 20 paired with my iPhone Xs. I know that's pretty vague, but honestly, I've experienced no problems.

Hi there.
I have the VarioUltra 40. i have had no issues with connecting to my iphone Xr.
Remember, when you get the vario, go to bluetooth on the device and pair first to your phone in the bluetooth settings.
Then it will show up in voiceover under braille.
Good luck!

Slight issue but VarioUltra 40 works with iPhone XS

Slight issue but VarioUltra 40 works with iPhone XS

My issue is EVERYTIME, on Every iOS version since the VarioUltra came out, Pairing has been a bit clunky. By that I mean you may need to try and pair it multiple times, and upon successful pair your iphone may display “pairing unsuccessful” but your VarioUltra will say Pairing successful. Just go by what the VarioUltra says and you’ll be good to go

Also, I would recommend making sure if you have multiple iOS devices turned on and nearby, TURN all but the one you are actively trying to pair OFF if you are having trouble. once the pair is successful, feel free to turn on and pair your other devices too.
