Hi all.
So I was playing around with BSI in Microsoft Teams on iOS.
I type a message, great! Then I swipe three fingers up horizontally toward the volume buttons. Nothing happens. I'm pretty sure this sends in Messages, for instance.
So far I've been exiting BSI by sliding two fingers, flipping orientation, and getting to send and double tapping it. That's fine, if that's how it works. I just figured I'd check to see if that's so, or if somebody better at BSI than I am can play with it and see if it works or not, if nobody has so far.
Yeah, I could go into command mode in BSI and get to send that way, I know. I haven't explored that at all yet, hence wanting feedback from somebody who's way more familiar with BSI than I am. Teams might be a good place to start exploring that though, would make it easier to read messages and respond, most likely.
TIA for any help.

Same Experience
My experience in Teams has been the same. When I swipe up with 3 fingers it adds a new line rather than sending the message like it does in the Messages app. You'll have to do as you said and use command mode or exit BSI to find the send button.
Thanks.
At least I know I wasn't messing something up. That's always helpful. I'll have to play around with command mode, just to see what it's like. I don't mind exiting and hitting send too much. So it will be nice to have a couple of ways of doing things.
Experiencing the same, might be a teams bug
This only seems to happen on teams. Other apps send when you do a 3 finger swipe up. Whats app, messages, chat gpt, signal, telegram, you name it. This might be teams specific. You'd have to contact microsoft to see if they can fix it. I'd say its b s i itself but when teams is the outlier, that suggests its a teams specific bug.
I assumed so.
I don't use any of the others, the only app I tried it in was Messages, but I assumed it was just weird Teams behavior. The problem is that Teams is written like a Microsoft app, not an Apple one, by which I mean that on the Mac, which is where I use it most, it has different functionality, it's a lot more like Windows, expecting tabbing and the like, than it is like a Mac app. So I just assumed it's doing something weird on iOS too.
That gesture doesn't work
Not in Teams. Hasn't worked for ages and ages and ages chez Bingo. Go to command mode, press dot 4 twice and you'll be on the dear old send button. Or, just ignore Teams messages and get folk to go back to good old email like what I tell all my line reports to do.
Ha! It's personal stuff.
Not work. Though I understand quite a bunch of business folk hate Teams. But some of them seem to like it just fine.
I need to dig into the documentation, I haven't touched command mode at all, so now I know how to get to it, but not to activate it. It's what, 3-5 maybe? Something like that. I've briefly tried using a display but again not much, I mostly do speech. So I need to work on learning all the braille stuff.
Gesture for Command mode
Actually, to get into command mode when using BSI, you swipe left with 3 fingers. You'll hear a ding sound to let you know you've changed modes.
Re: Gesture for Command mode
Sorry, I wasn't clear. I know how to get into command mode, it's all the chord stuf I don't know yet. So I get into command mode and hit dot 4 to get to send. Now what? Like I said, I think it's 3-5 to activate something, I'll just go look it up at some point. But that's the stuff I have to learn yet.
Dots 3-6 to Activate
Hi Khomus, dots 3-6 together will activate the focused control in Command Mode. Hope this helps.
