Strange bluetooth bug in IOS 15.2.1

Braille on Apple Products

Hello,
I am working with an iPhone SE 2020 running 15.2.1. I often connect my Orbit Reader 20 braille display to my iPhone via bluetooth. But when I turn bluetooth off, the keyboard on my phone still behaves like the display is connected. When I go to enter text, the keyboard is gone so the only way I am able to enter text is via dictation. When I turn bluetooth back on and try to reconnect the display, it is not recognized. The bluetooth connection is also lost if I receive a phone call while working with the display.
The only fix I have found for this issue is to restart my phone which I have been having to do several times a day. Has anyone else experienced this issue and are there any other work-arounds which I could try? Thanks, Mary
