Trouble Having Pages Turn Automatically When Reading with Braille Display in Books App

Hello everyone, I think the subject line says it all. I've had this problem on and off over the years; it seems it gets fixed, then broken, then fixed again, but I don't use the Books app often enough to know whether there's a setting I'm missing to fix this myself, or if this is a known bug. I am using an iPhone 14, and IOS 18.6.2. I have a Brailliant Braille display. I decided to open a book in the Books app I purchased a while back and never read. I can read for about a page, and then, at first, it wouldn't move on at all. I changed a setting to scrolling, in hopes it would help. It helps some, but now it skips 2 pages and I have to go back up to read the pages I missed; this is certainly not pleasant. I do have turn pages while panning on in the Accessibility/Voiceover/Braille settings. There is something that says "Orientation locked unlock" button, but I'm not sure what this is supposed to do. Is there anything else I should try to fix this? Is there a keystroke I can use to turn pages on the Braille display itself? This wouldn't be ideal, but at least, if it works, it would be less annoying than having to go backward through text. Is this a known bug, or should I report it again? (I did report it a couple of years ago or so.) Is this fixed in IOS 26? Any help would be appreciated, as I would love to be able to read this book, and other books I purchased from Apple over the years. I have to say I am quite frustrated this is broken again. I love to read in Braille, and feel I should be able to read as easily in Braille as sighted people can read in print. I realize I could probably have VoiceOver read the book to me, but I don't really want to do that.
