Flicktype App

Club AppleVis Member

I subscribed to and am trying to use Flicktype. When I'm in text area and type, characters are not showing up in text field. When I flick left, I hear "Export Text". When I flick right, I hear "Flicktype" or "Next keyboard". I've tried switching typing modes in my iPhone Accessibility settings but that hasn't helped. Deleted app and re-downloaded it. Also shut phone down and re-booted it. What am I missing? Thanks. Greg

Also, have you enabled the keyboard in settings > general > keyboard > keyboards?

Flicktype is a third party

Flicktype is a third party keyboard that has recently been made to work across the system. The idea here is that you tap where you think the characters are, and its clever algorithm works out what you have meant to type. The app is free to download and use, however the system wide keyboard requires the purchase of a subscription which is done inside the app itself. Hope this helps.

Hi Greg, thank you for

App Developer

Hi Greg, thank you for subscribing and sorry to hear you’re having trouble. I agree with @DPinWI, great suggestion. Sounds like your device may be locked in portrait mode but you’re interacting with it in landscape, after a quick test I was able to reproduce the experience you describe.

Please let us know how it goes.

Warmly,
Ashley
