Headphones that work with the IPhone 4S

Hi: I am an IPhone 4S user and I am looking for some other headphones that would work with my IPhone. I am not a big fan of the earbuds that came with the phone. I want to be able to control the phone like you can with the earbuds but with earphones that go on the ear and not in the ear. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks. Nancy

I use the Polk Ultra Fit 2000 headphones with my iPod Touch. They are open back, over the ear, behind the neck headphones. They have buttons on the right ear piece to control stuff. I can stop, start, fast forward, and rewind. They have a mic on the cord for voice pick up. I have used them with Skype and other voice apps on the iPod. I assume they would work as well on the iPhone. They were 65 bucks at Amazon. Not cheap, but they seem well built, sturdy, and sound great.

I purchased a bluetooth set of rocketfish headphones which sound reasonable and have buttons to allow for phone answering, talking to SIRI, and allow movement through various audio libraries like skipping back/forward, wind/rewind, and have three different listening environments built in. They include a USB charger and can produce more volume than most folks should or would want. They go over the ear and behind the head. I purchased them ab the canadian bestbuy store for as I recall, $50. I did try walking with them placed above the ear canal but found that the surrounding environmental sounds were sufficiently impaired to make things difficult using a cane. I suspect that they might be more tolerable when I get dog number six; no worse than wearing a toque and/or hood in our winnipeg winters. Of course, if you don't like them, you have a month to return the product; keep packaging and all materials undamaged and your receipt.

I have the Bose mi2i head phones They are pricy but the sound quality is amazing. They have the mike and they also have the volume up and down and play stop button They are specifically made for apple products. They are ear buds but the way they fit in your ear is very comfortable. I have had a lot of ear phones in the past and I have to say these are by far the best ones I’ve had they caust about 150 from bestbuy with a 2 year Warranty
