Hi,
I don't know what caused this to stop working for me. That doesn't matter, so I want to press function keys on my bluetooth keyboard and avoid using the FN key. Here is what I have tried.
I went into System references > Keyboard and I can see that the checkbox is checked that allows the function keys to work like I want, but I found out that this is not for my bluetooth keyboard. I checked this by trying both keyboard's function keys after turning the checkbox off.
After this, I told my Mac to search for the bluetooth keyboard, and even though it was paired, it said it couldn't find it. I went into Bluetooth settings, unpaired it and paired it back up. Then I went back into keyboard and defined the keyboard by following the instructions there.
Next I googled and found out that there is a piece of software from Logitek that is supposed to be able to change settings. for various devices, including my keyboard. I downloaded it and found that many of the buttons have bad accessibility messages or none at all. I kept pushing buttons and hoping I would get the right settings to pop up, but haven't been able to get that to happen.
So if anyone has a way to reverse the function key behavior on the K375/80 keyboard, I'd greatly appreciate it if you would point me in the reverse of the direction I'm going now.
Thanks.
Jim

Logitech Options Program
So, yes this app sucks, I had this on Windows but it may be similar, the option should be a checkbox to use function keys as F-Keys. For some reason it took using the dongle in my computer for it to be registered in the software, but after that is done once it works fine, you can put the dongle back and use it as a BT keyboard once the settings show up. That's why you haven't seen it as the keyboard isn't registering with BT only in theapp. Hope this helps. It can be a pain I know but once you get it sorted it should stick.
Apple Keyboard Settings
Have you folks tried changing the Apple Keyboard behavior in settings? Here's the URL for Apple's instructions. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204436
I have a Logitech k830 keyboard and hate it due to the very flat tactile feeling to all the keys and bezel. I cut some little pieces of non-skid vinyl stick-on tape and put that on some of the keys so I can tell which keys my fingers are on without looking.
I'm not vision impaired, but I would sometimes use the keyboard while wearing a VR headset where I can't see the keyboard.
This is the non-skid tape I use (currently sold out on Amazon): Pusdon Clear Anti Slip Tape, Safety-Walk Tub and Shower Treads, 1.5-Inch x 20Ft, Non Skid Bath and Shower Indoor Tape for Wooden Steps Stairs
