iDevices and braille pen slim

Hi. I want to get a braille pen slim to use with my iPod and iPhone. It is a small braille keyboard with no braille display so you can type text and control the device from it and still here VoiceOver from the device to know what you are doing because there is no display. Does anyone know if the key commands would be the same on the braille pen as they are on the BrailleNote Apex? Also, does anyone know if there are any podcasts on using the braille pen slim with iDevices and if there is, where would I find them? How about the manual for the braille pen slim? Where would I find that? Thank you.
