Hi all,
The question is exactly as stated in the subject, however, I will add a bit of background.
Firstly, I am totally blind, but to add to this, I have a pair of trashcan lids for hands. I am currently using an iPhone XR, and have always used smaller iPhones. However, I used a Samsung Galaxy A73 for over a year and loved the size and battery life of the thing.
Now to ask the question again, which is the better option, the 14 plus or pro max.
I know the size is exactly the same, so call that a draw.
I have no idea on the battery, so asking.
I know the pro max cost quite a bit more, so price goes to the plus.
The cameras goes to the pro max however.
I've never heard a plus, so cannot judge the sound quolity of the speakers.
I believe both have oLed displays, so that's again a draw.
Help?

pro max
If you are getting the 14 get the pro max. Better camera, dynamic island and better battery. Although the 14 having issues with the camera, it probably will be solve with update of iOS. Also probably better sound.
pro max
Pro max all the way. You will get better battery life and lidar.
I just got the plus.
I just got the plus, and the battery life is incredible. I get two to three days out of a charge. My last phone was the XS and I was lucky if I got a day.
14+
Contrary to comments above, the 14+ has slightly better battery life than the promax! I've examined them both and kept the 14+! Dynamic Island? Maybe next time, one thing that goes unnoticed that the phones are physically, the same other than the 14+ is 1 ounce lighter than the pro max, and believe me that makes a great difference! BTW: the speakers sound the same, and that is magnificent! The cameras are still good and quite usable as a blind man, but I don't need all that extra stuff that the promax offer, mostly for real photographers, etc. The 120 Hz refresh rate that the promax has along with it's always on display eats up a bit more juice and again it's just stuff that for me, has no value to me personally. Processor is great, battery life is fantastic, speakers are amazing. Add that the phone is wonderful in the hands, with great price for the 256 gig, it was a no-brainer for me. Good luck!
AirTag
With the pro you get more help in finding AirTag and if you need to use door detection you can with the pro max and not with the plus.
Not sure yet, but ...
Hi all,
OK, from what I've read so far, either is a good choice. I'll go to the Apple store in early march and just get whatever they have in stock. If they have both, I'm going with the pro max.
it depends.
It depends on what features you need. If you feel that lidar would be useful, get the 14 pro max. If not or if the money is an issue get the 14+. I went for the standard 14 as I have small hands and didn't feel I could justify buying the pro given its price here in the UK.
pro of course
get the pro line, either pro or pro max is good. get the deep urple and deep purpld only. it is the exclusive color for the 14 pro line, it will not be confused with other pro lines. you take out your phone, and people know it is the latest pro line, you don't have to say anything, low key and understated, it goes to show you are the real thing. and for those who can't tell we forgive them, because we are full of love and compassion.
13 pro
Last year in Nov I went with the 13 pro. Do not care for 14 pro myself. Next time it will be the 15 pro max probably next year. Maybe the ultra. I have the feeling the ultra is going to be a beast. Long battery and cool features. Like the Watch ultra that last forever.
The Oliver Kennett
You forgot to mention about find AirTags and if you lose one of your airPod with the chip that only comes in the pro finding an itom is easy.
Plus
If it was me, I'd go with the Plus. I had a Pro model a few years ago because I thought I'd benefit from the better cameras and Lidar. But I never really noticed a difference and definitely didn't benefit from Lidar.
Not impressed with 14 Pro
Besides the size, the big differences are the 120 MHz screen refresh rate and the dual channel satellite navigation that reduces the accuracy to just a couple of inches from 20 feet. Apple optimizes the user experience so much the difference between 60 and 120 MHz is minimal. In theory, the increased location accuracy would be a nice feature. In practice, the navigation experience will likely very much the same as navigation and mapping work very well know. The plus is the better value, considering the a16 chip in the Pro is little different from last yearâs processors in the 14 plus.
Plus
I agree with one of the commentaries above, based on what I have seen, a lot of reviews are saying that the 14+ gets slightly better battery life than the promax. I kind of regret getting an iPhone 13, because if I wouldâve known that Apple is going to release a plus model I would have waited until this year. And I like the plus models, because the speakers sound really nice, and the battery life on them is amazing.
