Problem with air pods pro not pairing to Iphone

Hello,
I am having trouble getting my air pods pro to repair to my IPhone. My right pod quit transmitting audio but is fully charged and the noise cancelation works. So, I looked up the problem on line and it told me to forget my device. I have done that and it won’t repair. I have turned on and off my Bluetooth, wyfy connection and rebooted the phone and nothing happens when I open the lid of the case. All the lights work on the case and it was fully charged when I started this. It has happened a couple of times before. The only thing that seems to help is to let the case and ear buds go dead before recharging. This is really frustrating and I hope someone has a better fix . The device is out of warranty. I am running an se 2020 and it is up to date. Any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Yvonne Cowan

You could try resetting your AirPods.

You could try resetting your AirPods by putting them in the case leaving the lid open and holding in the button on the case for 15 seconds. This is what I read online when I looked up how to reset AirPods. Apparently, this resets them to there factory settings.

Yes, I've had to do this…

Yes, I've had to do this multiple times.

Tried that

I tried that first and it didn’t work. This was the next level fix.

Don't forget to ‘forget’

Agree with the previous suggestions to reset your AirPods. All I have to add, is to suggest that as part of this process you also go to bluetooth settings and ‘forget’ the AirPods before you reset them.

Agree with the last poster.

I forgot to mention you need to forget your AirPods in the Bluetooth settings before you reset them.

This is probably a dumn question but

Does it affect in any way if you don't forget the airpods first from bluetooth settings and just reset them outright?

I believe it can.

Hi, I believe that not forgetting a device before resetting it can cause all sorts of connectivity problems. I have reset a bluetooth device in the past without forgetting it on the iOS device end and the two devices wouldn't connect.

Hi!
Maybe, you have the fake air pods pro?
Not made by Apple I mean.
My god! I wanted to buy it!
Now I will be thinking to buy or not to buy.
Cheers!

Same problem

Same problem. Already tried everything mentioned above too. They are real, but were purchased on eBay refurbished, and had been working great, but then a month or so ago I started having issues getting the case to charge, and then in the last week started having the same problem you are having.

The real deal

Nope, I bought them directly from Apple through the Apple store. Thanks for the suggestion though.
