Hi Lelia, The storage section - at least in IOS7 - details all apps and how much memory they use excluding their own storage if they are system apps. I get different entries for messages, mail etc. If I tab on "Messages" it reads: "stored messages" or simmilar - sorry, I am using German localization and English labels may differ from my translation. So it won't help if you delete emails if the message section appears to be the problem. Note that if an app is not listed you can tab on "further apps" to see them all. So the first question is: When you open messages (where iMessages and text messages are shown), do you see any entries - possibly iMessages with pictures and videos? If this folder is empty I would suggest that you do a backup / restore cycle to get this streight. BTW: What IOS version are you using? I briefly remember issues long time ago dealing with deletion of messages. /Roland

hello Roland, thank you very much for your help, I am running iOS 7 with an iPhone for S. I did a restore and it didn't work. I deleted some apps and it still didn't work. The weird thing that happened though, before the Reese duration I had two gigs to use, now I have five. But it still says I have 6.2 gigs of messages. Odd Lelia
