I just purchased an iPhone 6 and am running the latest version of iTunes. How do I setup WiFi sync?

Wifi Sync!

Hey There,
Connect your phone to computer with sync cable if you haven't, this allows computer to recognize phone.
If you haven't done this before, it might ask you to authorize computer. Answer yes!
If iTunes doesnt open, open it manually.
When you locate phone in iTunes, open the summary tab.
There will be an enable wifi sync option, check this option.
There will be another option for iTunes to open automatically when phone is connected to computer with cable. If you want this, click as well.
Tab to the apply button, and click. This will save your choices and you're set!

Thanks for your help. I don't see those settings or options in your answer.

I see that the phone is connected but don't see the options beyond that. Do I get to this through menus?

iTunes options

Hello,
Are you using windows or Mac? Whatversion of iTunes?

If you are using Windows and iTunes 12. After you connect your iPhone to your PC, launch iTunes if it does not open. Give it a minute or so then a tab called iPhone will appear. Click on the tab that has your iphone name then to the right of it, there will be a tab called iTunes. Using your arrow keys, look for Summary. The iTunes tab will change to Summary then you will find the options mentioned in the previous post.

In Zoomtext, it does not tell you iTunes has options but in Jaws, it does.

Hope this helped.

How to do it on a Mac

Here's how to do it on a Mac running iTunes 12.

First, as stated above, you must have the iOS device connected to the computer before you can enable Wifi sync.

Open iTunes, if it isn't already open, then press VO-Home to put the VoiceOver cursor at the beginning of the window. Hit VO-Right until you find a popup button for your device. If iTunes sees more than one device, you will need to select the appropriate device from the menu that comes up. Otherwise, simply pressing the button is enough.

After pressing that button, press VO-Right until you find the playlists table. Row 2, Summary, should be selected. Otherwise, press Up or Down until this option is selected.

Now VO-Left once. You will be on a scroll area. Interact with this scroll area, then navigate through the options until you find the check box for enabling syncing over Wifi. Check this box.

Stop interacting with the scroll area, then press VO-End to move the VoiceOver cursor to the bottom of the window. You should find an Apply button here. Press it and you're done.

WIFI Sync

I just got my first iPhone, a 6 Plus, and can't sync up via WIFI with my Windows 7 PC running iTunes 12.

Yes I've connected via cable, and yes I've checked the option to sync over WIFI. Is there something else I need to do?

If the phone is connected to my network, shouldn't I just be able to launch iTunes on the PC and it should sync up?

thanks for any suggestions,

Chris

Sinking over Wi-Fi

Hi Chris and all, once you have enabled the Wi-Fi syncing option, your phone must be plugged in and on the same network as your computer to sync over Wi-Fi. With your iPhone plugged in to a wall outlet works best I found, open iTunes on your computer, and give it about 5 to 10 minutes to sync everything.

Check your iPhone.

Hello,

Check the settings on your phone. Go to settings General then itunes wifi sync. See if your PC is shown in there. IF it is, click on the sync now button. If your PC is not shown in there, connect your phone using the usb cable and unselect wifi sync then apply. Recheck the box wifi sync then apply again. Sometimes refreshing this option helps.

HTH.
