Hi everyone.
I'm planning to get my first apple watch, and I'd like to know a few things about them.
First, is if getting an apple watch SE 2 would make any difference when It comes to software and accessibility; that is in compare with Watch series 7 or 8
second, I'd like to know if the speakers and microphones on the watch are any good. I previously used a Samsung smart watch and didn't like the speakers much. Of course, I don't expect anything unusual, It's a watch after all.
third, Is the watch usable for navigation? I'm very new to apple devices and don't know if there are good navigation apps, let alone those that could be used on the watch.
Also, if there are recordings of newest models at work (where I could listen to them) I'd appreciate it If you could point me to them.

Answers to your questions
First, the only difference between an SE and series eight is I think they don't have crash detection. Which is fine but the series eight is only around fifty bucks more unless you're going with cellular model. Personally, I wouldn't have just a watch conected tow ifi, I'm on the go a lot. It works just fine with navigation apps, I have Google maps. The speakers are just that, pretty ok. I'd love to have a bit louder sounds but also when it's late night, the sounds fine, it just gets a bit hard to hear when you're out and about. Feel free tocontact me off list if you have more questions.
Differences across the Watch models
Hi,
The Apple Watch SE is the "cheapest" watch model Apple offers. The model has a few disadvantages over the other models:
- Battery drains faster, especially when using the Watch without a constant connection to your iPhone
- The ECG and Blood Oxygen measurement are missing completely
- Optical Heart Rate sensor is not the newest one
- No Ultra wide band Chip (U1)
+ a few other things which I don't remember at the moment, but they are listed when heading over to apple's web page, select Watch > Compare.
The Apple Watch Series 8 is the newest model and offers a few advantages over the SE Model:
- Better battery life
- New Heart rate sensor
- ECG and Blood Oxygen measurement
- Temperature measurement on your wrist while sleep focus is active
- Better sleep tracking because more sensors are included
- Crash detection
The most expensive Model, the Apple Watch Ultra, is the best choice when you want:
- The most durable Watch
- The best Battery Life
- The best speakers
- Better GPS (Dual-Band-GPS)
- Configurable Action Button for quicker access to some features
- Siren feature
I'm using an Apple Watch Ultra since Christmas last year and I'm still impressed by the incredible Battery life (almost 4 days without a charge), the significantly better speakers and the bigger screen which allows me to interact more effective with the on-screen keyboard.
