I am using a MacBook pro with an apple usb keyboard with a num pad. I just started getting "keyboard battery low" messages. The keyboard doesn't even have a battery as far as I know. Does anybody know what's going on? TThanks
Gordon, do you perhaps have another bluetooth keyboard paired to your Mac that is turned on and running low? I understand that you are using a wired keyboard currently.
There's a post from July 2016 with the title "Why is my Mac telling me that the battery is low on my USB keyboard?" -- the solution was "a Bluetooth keyboard ... a few feet away ... paired to the Mac and turned on"
I've got the same issue -- the popup says "Keybord Battery Very Low - Connect to USB to recharge soon"
And I don't own a Bluetooth keyboard... What's going on??
TIA for answers!

You nailed it!
There was a Bluetooth keyboard sitting on a pile of crates a few feet away. Thanks for solving that for me.
"Keyboared Battery Very Low" - but it's a USB keyboard!
