iOS and iPadOS Gaming

Hi everyone,

Are there any word games with AI-controled players to battle against or not? Are there any AI players for any kind of player, such as easy-to-beat ones and challenging ones? What types of words do they use? Some examples of these games would be greatly appreciated, thanks! Are these games accessible with VoiceOver or not?
Have a wonderful New Year,
André

Hi,

I would like to ask you a question. Are there any word games with tactical Tetris-like elements, in which a player can move his or her letters around to form words or not? I know that SpellStack is a game with these characteristics, but are there more games with identical or similar characteristics or not? Can a player score bonus points for spelling a word correctly and for guessing long and obscure words or not?
Have a nice day,
André

Has anyone been able to play either Hanging with friends or words with successfully? I saw hanging with friends had been recommended so downloaded it but can't get the letters into the squares, so wondered how you'd managed that...I think it should be pretty easy to make both apps accessible in the way that Moxy is.

As I understand it, the New York Times bought the Wordle files and the Wordle site is no longer playable. Instead, you have to go to Wordle - New York Times. This site is not accessible for playing Wordle. Are there any workarounds or do I just need to wait or advocate for the New York Times to make it accessible. I followed the directions on the recent AppleVis Wordle podcast but I think I was a day late for getting the files downloaded.

There's a discussion on twitter asking about how in/accessible WWF is now. Has anyone tried it recently? I haven't, my rudimentary understanding was that the letters are labelled correctly but you can't drag them onto the board, as you have no wa of finding out what you're dragging them onto. Is that correct? does anyone know what precisely would need to be done to make it V/O accessible? Ian

Hi everyone! It's been a while. I'm pleased to announce Wordvoyance is officially soft-launched in Canada for iOS!

There's been a lot going on since we last previewed the project here in 2021. First off: Wordvoyance is a crossword-building game similar to Words With Friends and Scrabble, but with added features and screen reader support to facilitate blind play. Importantly, to a sighted person the game has appealing visuals and plays exactly as you would already expect, meaning blind players can enjoy the game with their sighted friends and family.

Hello, I am planning to develop a browser game that would be called Street War. The game is about training your gangster by improving skills and then completing missions and capturing buildings on the street to collect protection money. Players could furthermore join syndicates to compete together against others and defend dominance over the city. There could be several servers in the game, each server is a city with the street to fight on. The following points would exist in the game:

Hi, can anyone explain how to use looted items in iMobster? For example I have army surplus weapons and truma kit. Not sure how to use them. The army weapons are supposed to deal more damage to opponents but not sure what the truma kit does. Does the game automatically use looted items or do I hav to do something. Thanks for any help.

Hi all! How many of you would be willing to pay 5 euros for an iPadOS game where the keyboard is used?

I have four of the x2 line Games including baby a doctor, little girl magic, and orange tree. they are not syncing with game Center on my iPhone 5s and iPad mini two. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I am exclusively using voice over also.

Long message. But basicly explains how to navigate these apps and deal with the hugely minor oddities about them. Hi everyone. I guess I am a very advanced voice over user so the questions people keep on asking about these apps really kind of to me is like "review the screen and just work with it it is fully accessible." But then I think Jessica some people may be new to the iphone or not sure how to deal with these few oddities that come up in apps. And sometimes when I explain things I forget something very vital. So I am going to try in this post to cover everything that to me is obvious.

Hello!

I have tested yatzy World and it seems accessible. But when I shall continue a game I can't find how to do. What I Heard is that I have to turn voiceover off and tap on the screen but where shall I tap? Can anybody help me?

Can anyone advise on how to play content from the Yoga Downloads App? There are plenty of audio lessons but they won't play using Voice Over on my iPhone 2020. I can't use magnification but have been told, with sighted assistance, that there is a small arrow within in the graphic at the top of the scree. This is undetected by V O, and turning off the screen reader and having a stab aint working!
Any suggestions for a work around much appreciated.
Mark.

Just finished Broken Sword 2 and I really loved the tropical location. I have now completed the other Broken Sword games but am looking for something that captures that summer/tropical feeling to play in my yard with a glass of wine. Any recommendations?

Zanagrams game
I began playing this game and thought it was very nice, however, it crashes after playing, and some puzzles I have solved show up that I did not complete.
Is there other game alternative similar to this one? I do like it.
Thank you.

Hi everyone, I am trying out the new zanagrams app. It seems very accessible, however if I misspell part of a puzzle, how do I get the letters to no longer be dimmed when I clear it? I can’t seem to figure out how to start the puzzle over. Has anyone figured this out? Thank you.

Hey all,

I'm a 27 year-old Marine Corps veteran, and I lost my sight four years ago to a suicide attempt. After learning to use screen-readers and attending college, I learned how many things are inaccessible to our community, and decided to become part of the solution. So, I dropped-out of college almost two years ago to teach myself how to code.

My first app, which is a word puzzle game called Zanagrams, is now available on the App Store, is complete-accessible with Voiceover, and can also be played by sighted family members and friends!
