I am asking this question as somebody who doesn't currently have any games installed on their iPhone, and who hasn't truly been interested at all in mobile gaming previously.
For some reason I am feeling a need to do something about this, so I was hoping for some recommendations for a simple iOS game. One that requires no investment of time and thought. One that I can pick up and play for maybe just a couple of minutes at a time.
Most likely it would be a card, dice, puzzle, or trivia game, although I might be open to some other game types.
However, what doesn't interest me are audio games, civilization building games, or games where you have to care for something.
I also don't have any interest in games which are all about buying or earning coins or whatever to unlock extra features or boost what I can do in the game.
I would much rather pay a few bucks upfront than be nagged to make in-app purchases.
So, what would people recommend?
Thanks

Some ideas
I don’t have too many games like what you’re suggesting, but some that come to mind are Seven little words, and Worder. Seven little words does have an app purchases, you have to purchase puzzle packs, or you can get a subscription. Either way, maybe it’s not your thing, but I personally find it very addictive , and definitely something that you can just pick up and play for a few minutes.
some games
search for the... i was about to suggest the blindfold games, but after there trial expires you have to buy coins, or unlimited coins to continue playing... well, no necesarily, you can watch adds and get more coins for free i think, haven't played them in a while so not sure if this is still available. Dice world is one where you can play with computer opponents or online, and its free. Another one that comes to mind, you have to pay upfront though, tank battle endless gunner. hth and have fun
simple, pick up and play for 2 minutes at a time, game
Hello. You can try krafting kingdom. Also if you want dinamic puzzles I recommand you six ages or king of dragon pass. You don't need to play the entire story when you start a session. The story is divided by game seasons, you can spin the wheel to pass fast if you don't want a specific action. Other six ages and king of dragon pass features include:good ambiance music, great sound effects, random events, fully accessible with voice over.
My Time Waster Games
Check out CardsAlone, which has two solitaire card games. Recommend the hexagon game first. I really like this game as I enjoy the Solitaire card game anyway. I wish this had some brief sounds built in, but that's just my preference. This game is always challenging but can be played in those short timespans. Also try Diced, which is a puzzle game, where you make five of a kind or a run of five. It's a strategy game, though and has things built into the game to create challenges. It's harder to describe than to play. Both games work well with VO. Love both of these games as I can pick them up and drop them in an instant if needed without any problems in the games. Enjoy.

Hello Eileen, I'm not really much of a gamer but I do like Millionaire and, on the Elexa app, Song Quiz.
